I have wondered if triple picks , like ones that can sometimes result in Central Africa or Central Russia being first turn bonuses, have any merit to them. I feel like the quick initial income would be rapidly countered by a lack of expansion space. Additionally, I see it as being incredibly risky in the event that your opponent gets one of the territories you intended to get, or gets a pick that counters your FTB. I would believe the game to be lost at that point, especially if the opponent has safer picks elsewhere.
What are your thoughts on this?
