Not sure if this has been posted anywhere but here goes:

Okay so what I can think of at the moment is being able to see how many players and who they are in the Warlight multiplayer, maybe on the right, whilst choosing a game and maybe a little chat box as well?

Being able to add players from here in to your game would be great as well.

Also I'm not sure on this one, but is there any form of private messaging inside warlight but outside of game time?

This is just my 2 cents.

Suggestions are to be found and commented in the UserVoice Forum [there](http://warlight.uservoice.com/forums/77051-warlight-features). I guess these ones were already brought sowehow to the forum and in the UV forum as well. You may browse it and vote for those you'd like to implement, it will help Fizzer orienting his work :o)

There currectly isn't, partially on purpose - this makes it just a bit harder to talk about non-collusion free-for-all games.

I actually really like this one. If you find someone on the forum that you think would be fun to play, you can click on a button or link that will create a game with them.

The only downside I see is that when you create a game, you enter in all of the settings and then select your opponent last. With this, you'd have to change the whole structure unless it just invited them to a template of your choice or Strategic 1 v 1.

Further, it'd be cool to have in your profile/forum name tag to have a Challenge Me! button that would set up a default Strategic 1v1 game with a player instantly

I actually just asked about sending a private message to a person outside of a game recently.
Here is a link to that discussion: http://warlight.net/Forum/Thread.aspx?ThreadID=2088
But as Matma Rex already said, a person cannot send a PM to a person outside of a game. You can send, however, send a PM to a person in a game that has been finished, but that might be limited to ten days.

In response to Matma/SGV's concerns about collusion, I don't really think there is a whole lot you can do to prevent it. In reality, all you are doing by not having a private messaging feature outside of games is forcing players to jump through a couple of extra hoops in order to talk.

Its similar in some aspects to the situation in NCAA right now where teams and players are negotiating for incentives behind the league adminstration's back. Sure the league can say these incentives are not permited, but they have very few ways of actually stopping the flow of incentives between player and team.

The comparisons end there, but I think that in both wl's case and the NCAA's all you are doing is making people put a bit of extra effort into manipulating the system (And in our instance most of the people you are forcing to run around are not attempting to break any rules at all).

It may be debatable that, although its not doing a whole lot, there is no reason to shed the NCAA's restrictions on paying their players, since having these rules in place is not adversly effecting anyone except for the target group. However, in WL you punish both those who are breaking rules, as well as those who are not.

All of this being said, I doubt "collusion" is the only reason Fizzer hasn't implemented a chat system just yet.
