Green could easily counter south america on turn 2 but has no intel. On turn 3 pink has the advantage that he has leftovers on the border with green, and a higher income. This strategy is based on timing and like the other one preys on the predictability of a FTB strategy.

but i think he wasted 7 units on attacking South Australia & Vorkuta.

He should have went heavy either towards Murmansk (no intel) or Agentina (with intel)

a. green messed up russia with deploying too much and going for the wrong territories. 1 army deployed and going for Moscow would have been the right move.

b. green after finishing antarctica green needed to step into southamerica with at least 5 armies (deployed to showing 6). After all you have to be somewhere and SA and CA is not only the most likely, but also the most dangerous to him.

c. green surrendered early, there was still a slight chance

unreality: If green had played in russia correctly he still wouldnt be winning. Giving your opponent no intel leads them to make bad choices, such as the one myhand suggested and the one green actually played.

Myhand: i disagree with b) I dont have to be anywhere in the south. Picking sea/indo/scand is very dangerous as well. A late counter to australia, as well as being a 2turn 11income. Which is the same as a FTB gets usually. If you play like that youll end up chasing ghosts and getting no income.

going into SA is most def no mistake
you see no one, you move towards ca and just take it later on
