My first time posting in forums so sorry if this is in the wrong place or breaking a rule.

This game is ruined on me, I don't care about the fighting or strategy of this game all I use it for is Diplomacy games. And every time I play diplomacy games I always wish I could do more with the chat. For basic chatting it's fine but in diplo's even though your solo you usually end up taking sides and being on a team/alliance. These alliances are greatly ruined by the fact you cant talk in secret unless you send private messages to everyone and what others responded with which usually takes a long time and is confusing. This could all be solved by the ability to create your own private chat rooms, sure you could message everyone with a link to an online chat room but it would be much easier and much more practical if you could do such a thing in game.

Is there something I'm missing? Is this a really specific request? Your thoughts?

I have thought about this a while now, the only way to really make it work would be if an in-game option to add/accept teammates was added, then the chat interface is already there

It would also have to be able to be turned on/off by host while creating games for Diplo or FFA

try using discordapp :) It's worthwhile to see it yourself. I've built one for my clan group... Even though there isnm't a solution in warlight, that shouldn't stop you.

Maybe you could use warlight mail (the mail icon in the top right corner), I don't think you can delete or add people, but you can create private chats, and players can see they have got a message by seeing the icon flash.
