Obviously it was a copy from Obama's speech. No way Melania wrote the speech herself, and of course there was no way that she would have known it was Michelle Obama's speech.

Fault lies with whoever wrote and okay-ed the speech imo, but it seems so dumb a mistake to make...

James Carville raised the question of whether she had possibly been setup as an effort to make Trump/his campaign look bad. Doesn't make too much sense to me since I would think anyone employed by them as a speechwriter would not benefit from doing so but who knows. The real question boils down to who actually wrote that segment of the speech and possibly who, if anyone, tipped off the media/democrats to the plagiarism.

Well I mean you can't really fault the picks, Willie Robertson has a very successful business and is also a southern conservative christian, all core characteristics of the republican party. The fact that he starred in a tv show doesn't really change much, and probably helped since Trump himself also starred in a reality tv show.

Hes getting celebraties from certain age groups/areas to get votes. Scott Baio could have gotten some older peoples votes. Willie Robertson could lure some Louisiana votes and possibly some country folks, with Arkansas being total for Trump, Louisiana with Robertson could do some damage. He is picking people from all over, Trump is being very smart right now.

Willie Robertson could lure some Louisiana votes

Louisiana has gone Republican the last 4 elections and 7 of the last 9 (the Dems being southerner Clinton). The last three elections had at least 56% Republican. Why do they need to 'lure' some LA voters? They already have them locked up.
