So when people go on Vacation and there is an autoboot on a game, when they come back, do they get a grace period from the autoboot? I would think that the program would see that when they come back, it marks them active and then the autoboot kicks in and then just boots them then. I was wondering if that scenario was tested out cause I would hate to see some of my teammates go on vacation only to come back to make their moves, and they get autobooted because at the time when they're back they're essentially over the autoboot time.

I would test this out myself to figure it out but I didn't want to waste a Vacation testing it out.

I don't know. That would really suck, I'll be going on vacation next week and I don't want to find that out the hard way.

I thought they're separate grace periods, so if you freeze the clock for your vacation and have the same amount of time you ahd before the autoboot once the vacation freeze ends. That's not how it works?

I just came back and I didn't get autobooted in any of my games. I have no idea how long the grace period is or anything like that. I started taking moves as soon as turned off vacation mode.

Taking a turn ends your vacation. Technically there's no grace period, but the auto-booter only checks for prematurely ended vacations once every 6 hours. Therefore, odds are, if you take your auto-boot games quickly after returning you'll be fine. In the next release I'll add an official grace period.

Vacations should be members only. Big incentive for people to join WM.

I vote for Vacations to essentially freeze players boot times..

IE a 3 day boot timer, if I take my vacation at 2d 12h then when I end my vacation or my vacation expires I still have 12 hours until I can be booted..

I could see how it could be a nightmare to implement however, although It should be similar to the formula used for the banking booting times, just instead of adding as according to previous turns, add as according to vacation duration, and change the option from having booting players be bootable or not, to whether or not the boot times extend with vacations..

and I'm sure some people probably got lost in that mass of a run-on sentence...
