I was wondering if this would appeal to the community ...

When Ive been playing with friends, and get eliminated...I cant see any of the action following my demise..because of the fog of war(games with normal fog +)-- even if my friend keep the game going for awhile....

I was thinking that, a host could have the option to make it so that when one gets eliminated, they can now see the whole map (no fog) and follow the progress of their friends.

this way, I'd enjoy staying and watching the progress, especially in real time games that will only last a few hours. Otherwise, its kinda boring for ppl waiting till game ends.

Obviously this would have to be a host OPTION, as it would most likely only be used between real friends ( not in tourneys etc- since idea of cheating- 'spying' for ones team wouldn't be acceptable) and more often in real time single sitting games.

I'd enjoy watching the progress if this option was available.

main problem you'd have with this option is exploits.. I could see it being an option, but it would require practice games to eb checked..

Player A makes account A and Account B.. Account A starts a 6 player FFA game and Account B joins.. Account B surrenders on turn 2-4 and then Player A uses Account B to see through the fog of war so that Account A can get an inflated W/l record.

Luckylynx has a good idea. Perhaps we could organize games, that anyone could watch (while playing) between for example Impaller and zaeban or Heyhuehei. New players could learn from the very best.

This one has been in discussion for some time. Here is the UserVoice item pertaining to it:

Hey Dudes,

please also see [this Uservoice suggestion](http://warlight.uservoice.com/forums/77051-warlight-features/suggestions/1920685-spectating-practice-games), proposing seeable practice games (practice games because of cheat-related problems).
Although it's not exactly your suggestion, it's pretty much linked to this aspect of the game.

Best regards.

Why not at least allow eliminated players to see through the fog? You could disable private messages for eliminated players if you think there is a chance they'd feed another player sensitive information.

I'd like to be able to watch games I am eliminated from and still participate in global chats.

There are other messaging programs. And a person on multiple accounts can abuse this as well.

However, this idea exists for some time already and it's quite wanted when you're just with friends. If it's really troublesome, for now, Fizzer could just make that option available for practice only (like you can only play practice when there's an AI involved). People may cheat with it, but it won't boost their stats.

Vapor, the Amazing thing here is that it wasn't automatically deleted yet..
since 6/30 is more then 6 months prior to 2/14..
Chris, player A is attacked and destroyed by player B.. player A, then retaliates against player B by saying in global chat his troop positions and movements each turn.. global chat would be as much a game ruiner with this option as private chat would, disregarding out of game possibilities.
