I've seen this bunch going around for a while now, only realised today what they've been doing. They start games, don't make a mention in the title or info box that it's multi-attack, and then quickly get a win since the other team usually doesn't check to find that it's multi-attack. I know we should always check the settings before joining a game but we all know it doesn't always work like this in practice.

I'm not complaining about my bad record because of this, I really don't care, I'll give them a free win against me if they're so damn bothered about their precious record, I'd just rather not have my time wasted. Just so we're clear, I want to play with people who play for fun, not people who play just to rack up cheap wins.

On the subject, would it be possible to implement an option in searching for games that would allow us to show either single-attack, multi-attack, or both? I would think that that would cover all the bases.

I think there may be a uservoice option to vote on that would be the implementation of highlights to changes from standard template settings when you are looking at the settings page, which would be an equally viable solution...

Also, if you get a membership and join the ladder, you'll end up playing against really good players that aren't going to be messing around like what you get out of random open games...

You know Devilnis, I was thinking the same thing reading some of these forum posts. I've never even seen 99% of the stuff that I read about on here on a regular basis. Every single game I've played on this site has been an enjoyable experience and virtually everyone I've ever played with (with some notable yet minor exceptions) have been respectful and played a good, strong game. Granted, I've never joined an Open Game ever before either as I find I play more than enough games with the same 60 or so people by either creating games myself and inviting from my list of players or accepting invitations from the same people. Maybe that's the true value of the Membership status that I've always taken for granted (seemings how I became a Member the day the site went public), I just find it really weird how my entire Warlight experience has been absolutely nothing close to some of the negative scenarios you read about in these forums. Which really makes me wonder who's doing what differently...

I saw an open game once on the duel map (two total territories) where the bonus on the right had a 400 income and on the left had 1 income.

bostonfred, as far as I can tell that's the only thing the duel map ever gets used for.
