I am working on a very huge map. There are supposed to be more than 1 island in a territory, especially country/territory like: Japan, Indonesia, Philippines, etc. Because it has 3-6 main lands. I've read a thread, it says press:
Ctrl + Shift + -
i tried it. I Could see some of these on a map named Indonesia, it has multiple part per territory. Can you tell me how to do that, please?

PS: REMEMBER! More than 2 island/part per territory. (maybe that thread is talking about 2)

First hold the Shift button and click on all the territorys. Then go to Path -> Union.
I hope that helps.

EDIT : I am using Inkscape.

Apart from us having to guess which software you are using, its exactly like Motocross said. Use the union feature.

The shortcut in Inkscape is:
 ctrl + +

Exactly, but to press the + you need shift and - anyway, so they're the same.
