the first map is definately not representing the independence movements in europe,a few territories are comprising land mass from a few countries, which is simply not true, however if it is..its very falsely depicts, tho the second link by Angry Koala, represents it very precisely

First of all hi everyone!
Secondly as a Swiss guy living in the italian part of Switzerland I can assure you that the indipendence mouvment represented for my country are compleately wrong in the wikipedia page and on your first map as well. Probabely at the moment Switzerland is one of the most united nation in Europe, and at the moment there are no indedist mouvement at all (if you find one, is very probably a joke of some funny guys).
Nevertheless the map looks very interesting, hope you'll complete it soon!
(sorry for the not perfect english)

by the way, the german page looks way more reliable than the english one

What did you mean by clear things up?

Insubria is the geographical region around Lake of Lugano comprending the Swiss canton of Ticino and the Italian provinces of Varese, Como, Cusio-Verbano-Ossola, but the fact this region is splitted between the two coutries, it doesn't implies that there are independence mouvement. There some there collaboration between the political subdivision mentioned before, but certainly no separatist ideas- Groups like Domà Nuch are nothing more than jokes, people that loves to immaginate the unreal, but I think that quite nobody knows or cares about them.

Clearing things up means to solve or to explain a problem.

I have few knowledge about the region but I think the region wants to gain greater autonomy. I can't say very much about it but maybe (I think) that there are also some people who want to have independence? The creation of Movimento degli Indipendenti Insubrici maybe?

Hey, first of all, you might want to change "independentist movements" to "nacionalist movements", as many of those just want recognition for their "nation".

Also, as the Spanish I am, I know there are many nationalist movements inside (many are just regionalist, but we will pass them anyway). However, they don't really meet with your first uploaded map, that one is really imprecise and... well, weird. I consider this one (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/23/Active_separatist_movements_in_Europe.png) to be the most realistic of all.

Well in this case let me clarify the things for you, as this is the place where i'm born and where i still live right now.

The Movimento degli indipendenti Insubrici is not a thing, it was created by doctor Nussbaumer, but disappeared when he got arrested. Furthermore if you look at all the politcal parties that compose the Parlament of Canton Ticino none of them would ever even think about an indepence from Switzerland, nor even a single rational thinking citizen.

You can't consider 10-50 peoples saying stuff about indipendce as a real, consistent and pragmatic will of indipendence. (Sorry if I maybe seem to be aggressive, but I want only to demostrate reality and that all this stuff about "Movimento degli Indipendenti Insubrici" are not a proof that Ticino wants to be independent or join the "future indipendet nation of Insubria")

Neither Castilians, Cantabrians (they are Castilians aswell, but that's another topic), Leonese, Asturian or Aragonese for example in Spain want independence, yet they are in the map. That's why I say it should be changed "independence" for "nationalism", even if it's low, I guess.

it is not planned to put Castillans, Leonese or Cantabrians in that map anyway.

Well, it depends on what is him looking for. If he just wants independentism, he would have to remove half from those movements, I guess

Loads of these independence movements are jokes, like "Insubria", but I think that's part of the point.

I don't see Ingrian freedom fighters in Petrograd.

That map shows only a half of Silesia (Upper Silesia) and it doesn't show Kashubians at all. I don't know about other regions, but Poland is pretty inaccurate on this map.

Um, no... it is accurate. It's only Upper Silesians that have silesian identity (culture/language), and Kashubs don't want to separate.
