Personally as a mapcreator myself, i wouldnt want others poking around in my maps only so that they would then suit their onetime playstyle.

If its fixing errors or the like, its one thing, but adding Bonuses just because you would like them in a game...

Those are are bonuses and that version came out before the second.You can't just update that one and turn it to a combination.If you want to do that make a new one.You can not change a map in a way like that.I doubt fizzer will give permission for that.

I doubt Fizzer would allow someone to aswell, but I don't see the big deal in modifying someone's map. If I were a map creator, I wouldn't care what people do with my maps, but I guess I'm just less sensitive.

lets say you spend awhile making your map, then leave warlight, when you come back your amazing map has been completely f***ed up by some moron who thinks making a map completely different and removing the good map is a good idea, wouldnt you be mad?

Yeah but you'd still have your version, and this is actually a good idea. It can allow for balancing scenarios. If the map creator didn't like the new version, who said he had to play it, he'd still have his version so I don't see what the fuss is about...

I would make my own maps, but I find inkscape to confusing for me. I just posted this idea if anyone decided to do it, and if it's even p[possible.

It seems everyone(especially mapmakers) is against this idea.So i doubt it would even get off the first stage of your plan.

It was just a suggestion for anyone. And I guess most map makers are just to sensitive about their maps. There were some people that are willing to do this, only if they had the svg, so I wouldn't say everyone...

Are you SURE it was {rp} pedrito who began to create the map.Either, if I were Fzzer, I'd give him the Achievement/Trophy Make a beautiful map, as I saw once on a profile.
Maybe himself has just edited another's map...

That's the style I was talking about. By North America, you were also thinking about Central America, Caribbean and Greenland too, I suppose?

The only thing bothering me is distribution. If you plan making a diplomacy game on a map such as that, then countries that would be distributed would be something like 'West Canada', 'New England', 'South Mexico' etc.
