I've just completed 20 games in the Season XXIII ladder.

I want to secure that I won't be playing a game in the next season. Would it work if I click on "Leave ladder" now? It won't affect my status in Season XXIII rankings, would it?

Yes, once you have 20 games, you can leave the seasonal ladder and it will have no further impact on that season, and it will stop you from being in the next season.
