No, I'm English, but assuming this is an Olympic style event I can compete for any country I choose.
Besides I'm only 20 miles from the Welsh border (30 minute drive).

That's not how the Olympics work...
You have to have family going back to at most a granparent from that country to be able to complete for that country.

Since I doubt we can get enough, can we use the upcoming 2016 Euro Cup format? 6 groups of four, with top 2 of each + 4 best 3rd place teams advancing. To determine best 3rd place, go by points first, then wins by boots.

In the Australian qualifiers, CITC, LORD BUNNIE of AJAX, and Australian game show fan had an unbreakable tie for 2nd. In the interest of fairness, I think you should run a tie-break tournament between those 3 to see who truly takes the last two spots in the Aussie team.
Oh, and you might want to include Lord of Turnips, who was on vacation when you started the Aussie qualifying tournament, and so was booted from all his games rather unfairly!
