I was faffing about the Single Player tab earlier, trying to get my gold stars. Playing level three I checked on someone's profile the amount of turns required for gold (19). Upon completion of the level I realized I had done it in 18 turns (a turn faster than required)!

I think it would be nice if there was an achievement for this. An Iron Cross-esque number would be quite agreeable. For going above and beyond the call of duty. Thoughts?

Who plays against AI, seriously? I bet you used to pick on kids that were younger than you at school.

You want gold stars like a 6 year old? How about this for an achievment; if you beat the requirement for gold star you can post in this thread about it and people will reply with kind messages of adoration.

I do not play against AIs so that I can gloat about winning. I see getting gold stars for every level as a challenge that I wish to overcome. I don't care about receiving extol from other players. I want to see if others have been in the same situation or have the same opinion on the matter.

I thought the same thing when I saw there were some who managed to beat it a turn or two earlier. I thought a platinum start would be cool, I haven't managed that yet, but I'd like to try sometime.

Being a decent player, I recognize there are many who are superior to myself and, knowing that some are younger than me, brings a great sense of humility. There are a number of ways it can be achieved. Winning single player games quickly would be an example of one.

Comparison is the act of drawing similarities and differences between something. From this you can draw conclusions for improvement. Comparing yourself to others is not misguided, but a tool of measurement, constructive if you don't overuse it or depend completely on it. I don't.

And what makes you say that? From a person's age you can draw experience, biological and mental maturity. THIS ISN'T always the case, but as a generalization holds true, even in our modern progressive age, because our biology hasn't changed all that much. Our brains don't fully mature until we are around 25 years of age. You're welcome to look this up. That means someone who is 15 is less mentally mature than a 20 year old, on average. Differences are found in genetics, consumption of nutrients and drugs which can improve or inhibit development, etc. Age is perhaps not the best method of comparison, but a consistently decent one. Considering this is a game that requires concentration of the mind, a biologically mature mind has an advantage over one that is less matured. If someone who is 15 and has the experience of an average 15 year old consistently beats someone several years older than him, then that is impressive. Also, my humility is found in playing against players who consistently beat me, sorry that that wasn't clear to you.

He said recognition would be nice, for all players who manage to do this, not just himself. Asking to be worshiped looks a bit different. Those who want to be worshiped, don't usually like to share that worship. You're welcome to look that up as well.

Maybe you misunderstand something, or are simply ignorant to it. Players who don't know you will judge your skill based on your profile. A gold star helps give a good impression. That aside, I do it for personal satisfaction and knowing my skill has improved enough that I managed to complete the achievement and because I enjoy breaking challenges.

Are you quoting them or assuming this? Playing to make good moves is a good enough reason for you? I play because I enjoy it, is that acceptable enough to you, dead piggy? If you play a game (any game), do you go for hidden achievements or side missions? Are we less acceptable if we do?
