I like Causation's solution.

There's no breaking the stalemate... we're each with 2 picks in one bonus, 1 pick in the other, and we're balanced out at ~25 armies in each stack now...

Pink, they could just use the same template again. The likelihood of running into another stalemate is pretty low I would guess. I've had it in the past where we agreed to just tweak a setting or two (2 starting territories instead of 1, etc.) to make sure a stalemate couldn't happen again.

Great idea Causation :)

We made a game for game breaker. Whoever wins the remake game gets to win the tour. For the remake game, we will vote in the end to make sure that the player who loses doesn't lose twice. :)

I don't see how that was a stalemate. Defensively you have an advantage so you just have to decide when to push 1 front. I was expecting something cooler than this :(

There's a threshold of how much you can deploy to defend without losing more than your opponent, calculate that and decide which front is more valuable for you to push and begin pushing it to try to force your opponent to deploy differently and lose more on defense than he can gain on his other front. Or simply give 1 front up for the other, whichever you deem to be more economical in the long run.

Thus, it's not a stalemate.

Pooh it isn't stalemate, you could have feigned that you were trying to take Rockies to get him to move his southern stack further north so you can take South or South East.
Also you could move into Nevada with your stack, and then either try and take West or backtrack and delay and then take Northwest.
Or you could move into Frozen North which looks pretty nice and safe, would take him a while to realise what you were trying and by then you would have the bonus.

Only on Pirate Ninja or in games with 1 borders and equal income can you call it a stalemate, there are still many possible moves which could win you the game.

Pooh, what Lolowut is trying to say is this:

Early in the game, there is no advantage to attacking the opponent because the kill rates are not equal. Attacking neutrals both kills your armies and reduces the number of armies defending, which allows the other player to overcome the kill rate differential if they attack.

As turns progress, however, the number of armies you have increases, while the number of neutral armies does not. You reach a point where moving a small number of armies from your stack (to kill neutrals) does NOT allow the other player to overcome the kill rate differential, meaning they are still at a disadvantage if they try to attack.

In theory, it's not a stalemate. However, if neither player has the patience, inclination, or foresight to work it out, then it's just easier to play a replacement game.

So, what I propose, is that I can make a custom scenario game, right where we left off, or i can advance it how ever many turns you want me to with equal deployments, and we'll get 2 players to play it out.

My theory: Whomever attacks anything first loses.

Otherwise, we're looking at 50+ turns in a multi-day game before you reach your theoretical point.

My math to back it up?

The frozen north bonus contains 4 territories, and would require about 10 armies to conquer. So, you'd need to hold onto it for 4 turns to make a difference.

Meanwhile, you've given up your ability to prevent him from getting NorthWest for 3.
