This was the thing that I wanted someone with more program savvy and time than I to make a program for... problem was, I could not find anyone who has time.
In any case, if anyone wants to invest in some cheap stock... I do play at least one or two games on the rt ladder a day... and sometimes more... xD.
Well i really like weezer, but i don't want to be some creepy tribute artist or w/e. I do have other influences like ac/dc korn and rem.
I guess I come up with alternative - pop rock - power pop - rock stuff. I think it wouldn't be a stretch to call some of it blues or punk.
I'm still kind of finding my sound, but i always got some buddies on speed dial that play a mean bass or rhythmic, and it's not overly difficult to find somebody who can keep a steady drum beat. So who knows, maybe a few years from now you'll see some obscure artist in an obscure bookstore thar sells obscure music. Or you'll see some new decent-good artist on the scene. Either way, i just like playing guitar and singing along to songs i know.
What is missing is an excel file which should be uploaded daily with all the stock values at a T time everyday. And stock could be sold and purchased at that value only during 24 hours. So that it's clear. Then the XL file could include graphs of progression of values.
Obviously that owuld require Muli's skills to take the players levels automatically.
Without that, it's difficult to play. Are you going to check everybody's orders at the right price ? Can players be aware of all values at one glance ?
I tried to figure out how to make an excel sheet check the player ratings automatically, and even asked Fizzer about it. Fizzer's reply again shows how little he cares about us players.
Fizzer: Unfortunately, ladder ratings are not exposed by WarLight's API. You can read about what's available at https://www.warlight.net/API.
Legacy: Okay. I sincerely don't understand why this is not available. How would you recommend working around this? As said, I want my spreadsheet to be able to update this info.
Either that, or you can just take the forum Stock Market and code it into Warlight so it's all automated! That too, would be lovely.
Fizzer: Every feature we add to WarLight takes time. WarLight is made by just a single person, so features have to have a high desirability before we can devote time to it. In my 7 years of working on WarLight, you are literally the first person that has asked me for it. So it would be kind of silly for me to take time away from features people are asking for to spend time on a feature that nobody had ever asked for, don't you think? (emphasis added)
So, until Fizzer formats the ladder ratings in a way that can be retrieved automatically, we're stuck checking our own work. Which isn't all that inconvenient; you just have to pay attention and update your spreadsheet once a day.
Uh, I'm checking ratings and ranks automatically. You don't need an API for that.
Propulsion Investments gains $4.32 cash on hand from dividends ($1.08 from 5 shares of 1v1 Ladder ACL Tears; $3.23 from 15 shares of 2v2 Ladder Nackickwind and Buns157).
On gSheets: IMPORTXML with the narrowest XPath query you can construct (check the page source to figure out which tags to query) -> SPLIT to take out the letters (you can really just do a split with the entire lowercase alphabet).
