I have this chink that is very annoying. So I have decided to either beat it or fill it with my sticky white stuff. What brand of glue do you recommend? And should I beat it with my meat or hammer?

With a hole that size, assuming you don't want to fill it with brick or dry wall is to use expanding foam, especially since it's an inside loft wall. Once it's dry (and I would give it about a week or so to be extra sure) you can sand it down the outside face of it, and then use a poly-filler or plaster, you'll have to make sure to waterproof it properly because a fix like this won't be very strong, it will say it's waterproof but depending on your climate it may not stand up to a lot of rain. At least paint over it to seal it up.

Make sure the hole is really well cleaned with a stiff brush to remove dirt and anything lose else the foam won't get a good attachment. Hope that helps, let me know if you need any more details!
