Mod, As much as I respect you as a player. You can't go around calling players noobs because they prefer SR... It's just pathetic and you can't insult players because they seem to have a different opinion learn to accept peoples opinions instead of calling them a noob -_- Personally myself at this moment I've been brought up in a SR environment so I'm a SR fan at the moment though I'm yet to experience WR so I'm open to it :)

It sucks when someone has to surrender all their games just ruins the competition :(

i can do what i want. i'm ok with someone claiming he prefers sr. but i'm not ok when a guy who has no idea about the game says wr is bad and only about luck. i don't care what forumers think about me honestly.

Promotion/Relegation League is the indefinite exile for all of those that were disappointed by the 1v1 ladder change. Play something else if you don't like it here, but let us have one of the last competitional grounds where skill and risk-management actually matter over mind-numbing expansionism.

I don't play Poker because it is 100% luck based.

please remove me from the league once this season is done. i just can't cope with missed 3v2 deciding games anymore.

And yes, MoD can claim someone is a noob for preferring the new 1v1 template over the old one. He's right too. The new one is even more luck-based.

How is 0% SR more luck-based than 0% WR?

Simple, you can now single-pick large bonuses like East US, East Russia, Caucasus, or Australia, and finish them in two turns, you can also double-pick West China and finish it in two turns.

With WR you had to double-pick all of those except China, and China required being triple-picked. That was better, it made it easier to determine viable picks on a board because there were fewer sane choices.

More choice sounds good on paper, the problem is more choice introduces more luck, just not the kind most low-level players are accustomed to. It's not the kind of luck where the game rolls a dice, it's the kind of luck where you as a player might as well be rolling a dice when trying to determine what your best move is. You can't safely plan out your expansion and plan of attack based on where your opponent should be because quite often you no longer have any idea where they should be.

Because of this you're far more likely to get your 1/2/3 picks now than before and be left without intel and forced to expand blindly till you happen to bump into your opponent.

It's not actually a case where I think SR is inherently worse than WR on ME or MME though, I actually think it can be fixed by reducing the starting income,or amount of armies you start with on each of our picks.

Good updates, I'm just disappointed I got no credit for making up for my crap record last season :/

Congrats to all people who are promoting (or in ps' case, won the league) by the way too!

Group H is stronger than some groups above it -.-

it's not just for missing a 3v2, it's also for the wins against the other 2 major contenders were decided over 3v2 that they failed. i just don't like WR, prefer 0% SR. but i understand others prefer the risk management aspect more in their games.
