On Memberships:

I don't think the lifetime one should have been removed until fizzer can actually stick to deadlines.
I know he needs time (Blah blah #Fizzerappologists blah blah) to implement stuff but if I'm paying monthly I expect at LEAST a monthly update/blog post from him to tell me where my monthly money is going.

Is that not fair enough?

For example, if I'm paying monthly I'd expect better perks such as exclusive use of a map for a month etc)
At the moment all I can see is that I would be paying a monthly charge for nothing the average user would want...

I didn't read the whole thread so this may have been suggested already... but what if there was an option to make commander army values progressive like reinforcement cards? Make it based on how many territories are owned or how many turns have passed?

Also haven't read all of it, probably 60% or so. To state the obvious, you can make your commander as strong as you want. Just put him in a territory and add armies to it. The commander + the armies you put there will be much stronger than 7 :) It actually gives you MORE options this way.

^ You might as well argue that you can make a single army as strong as you want by doing that. After all, one soldier + 50000 soldiers clearly makes that first soldier as strong as 5001.

I kinda agree. On the one hand, kinda scummy. On the other hand, I bet it'll work. Fizzer will get more steady income; not an entirely terrible thing, apart from the scumminess.

I wouldn't never have bought membership if it wasn't liftime, why didn't he just put the price up if he was that concerned about money?

This is absolutely not the way to go, I think Fizzer has either lost the plot or wants to run Warlight into the ground already.

My problem with it is unless you are going to give members some more perks, they won't renew the monthly one. So I think those people will outweigh any gains from someone who might forget to cancel it.

If he does actually give some more perks, then he could end up making quite a bit more. Right now though, I just don't see the incentive for people. Perhaps this is just step 1?

Maybe Fizzer could be induced to bring back a lifetime membership for a higher price? I mean, $35 was kind of a steal, anyway. Why not raise it to like $65 or even $99? I don't know why it bothers me to no longer have that option (especially since I already have it), it just does. lol

I don't see why fizzer got rid of lifetime membership, it was the only one I was thinking of buying after a coin tournament im in.

Maybe so that Fizzer can earn more money.

Or maybe so because nobody actually uses the membership for over three years.

Who knows? But I'd like to point out that even you are a member, you still can't make bomb card or commander or one-army-must-stand-guard configurations on your tablet!

Can use bomb cards on mobile app, but no commanders. Also can't change other's colors.

kzyhoo: that page gives a "Whoops, an error has occurred" when you try to use it to buy a lifetime membership to gift to another player

gift and paypal -> redirected me to paypal for payment, didn't try it further though.

Already stated in the AMA that mobile update was next, followed by more single player missions.

Sockets aren't working properly, i often have to hit refresh to get updates. It only happens since the last update
