On the same epic-fantasy genre, one series of book i loved as a teen was The Belgariad and The Malloreon from David Eddings. I've been waiting for the movies to come out ever since, but it still hasn't happened

@Angry Koala, I would highly recommend "The Dispossessed" by Ursula K. Le Guin and "A Canticle for Leibowitz" by Walter M. Miller if you haven't looked at either of those before. They are 2 of my all time favourite books. Also, I'd recommend almost anything by Ray Bradbury, but I especially like "Dandelion Wine". It's more of a summertime book, but it perfectly captures the way summer holidays feel for a young boy.

I hated Dandelion Wine. Just didn't make much sense... I don't know. It wasn't anything in specific.

I still feel Vonnegut is highly undervalued now days. Cat's Cradle was incredible.

Currently reading the "Aeneid" by Vergilius

Also read "The secret history" by Donna Tartt this year. I enjoyed it a lot and it was quite easy to read (even if English isn`t your first language). I would recommend it to everybody.
