Hello all!

As you may or may not have noticed, I am working hard in order to revitalize an old clan that has been around for a very long time on Warlight, known as the fifth column confederation. However, right now, we find ourselves in a bit of an issue. As we are seeking, young, enthusiastic players, I am developing a great pool of potential within our clan base. However, young, enthusiastic players don't fit well with one of our most important positions: Master of the Sword. This position requires that the player write up either a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly thread on a specific aspect of strategy in Warlight. This position also requires that the person respond to any question that other members may have about strategy in the game. Optionally, the player may choose to make custom templates and scenarios to test others members of the clan about the finer points of strategy.

As of this moment, we do have one player who does have the strategic capability to take on this role. However, he is only an intermittent player nowadays, and will likely be unable to take on this role.

I know that it may be tough to find a person for this- as many of the strategic minds of Warlight are already a part of clans, and the few who are not are not interested in clans, but if you are able to take on this role, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you know of a player that might be interested, please show them this thread, and perhaps they might become interested.

I might suggest you appoint someone other than yourself to the Master Cartographer position. This would help you relieve stress from that position to help you focus on finding your Master of the Sword.

Working on it. I am the only one who can make maps in the clan, but there is someone now in the process of learning. He will take over the position eventually. Also, i am working on making a democratic process within the clan as well, so appointing will become a thing of the past once it gets established.

Good to see your efforts to improve your clan, Aura Guardian. You probably already know this, but just in case, I'll give the one piece of advice that I learned about making these kinds of organizational changes: Delegate, delegate, delegate! It looks like you're already into that. In fact, that's what reminded me of it. So, if it's not 'advice' for you, then take it as 'encouragement'!

PS: Sorry, I would not be a good candidate for that position. Plus I'm already in a clan, and I'm enjoying it a lot, so there's also that.

Thanks wct! I am learning as I go, and it does provide some valuable experience for even real life situations. Delegation is something that I have been doing subconsciously, without even realizing it, but now that you make it aware to me, I will be able to express it better. There is some young energy in my group, and using it by delegation will surely help to make my clan flourish.

I have found a strategist who is willing to help with the Master of the Sword position. He will be using an alt, but I still greatly appreciate nevertheless.
