Wrong Pablo the Catalonian flag is based upon the older County of Barcelona, their heirs then became count of Provence, Foix or Aragon, that's why all these entities nowadays share almost the same flag: the Senyera (Blood and Gold) which come from the House of Barcelona.

Please, not again... Stop telling me I am wrong, or otherwise prove it with accurate sources. The flag was first used when Aragon already included Catalonia, so you can not tell where was it used first - However, it was only used by the King of Aragon at that time, not by the County, so its documented origin is in Aragon. Search that if you wish. And "Catalan heirs became counts of Aragon" please no. Aragon stopped being a county long before the Crown included Catalan counties, and at any case the King of Aragon was the one ruling the county of Barcelona. The "house of Barcelona" thing is because Aragon started including those counties when a woman was the Queen, so the surname was his husband's one, the count of Barcelona.

And well I knew about that Andorran "king". Also, Andorra is the only country having Catalan as official in the whole of it, as three Spanish Autonomous communities have it as official too. (France should do it as well with regional languages, although I doubt the future FN president will want to do it .-.)

Why not telling you you are wrong since you indeed are wrong :P

This flag already existed in the 9th century long before Catalonia joined Aragon, and was representing the House of Barcelona (one of the oldest European flag truth be told), your pride is blinding you dear Pablo.
And search what? I am really wondering what is your own source. The County of Barcelona was created under the Carolingians. Aragon did not even existed during this period as it started to exist when Navarre was partitionned under Antso III.a Gartzez known as the Great, one of his son inherited what is now Aragon, so long after the County of Barcelona was created.

Everything is said here:

The "Senyera" is the real name of the Catalán flag. It has four red stripes on a yellow background.
Unlike many other flags, the Catalán flag has a history of its own – a legend that reminds us of the origin of the flag that represents Catalonia. The legend is attributed to the county, "Guifré el Pelós”, from ninth century – to its origin. Guifré was a magnificent soldier of the time, who avenged the death of his father, and a commander who developed magnificent military campaigns that allowed the repopulation of the Franks and also marked the border with the Arabs.
In one of his feats, he won an important battle with his faithful Franks over the Normans. This victory was recognized by the king himself "Carles el Calb", who fought at his side and Guifré was awarded a shield made of gold.
From that moment, all the troops, loyal to Guifré brought with them a golden shield, as they had no flag or color to represent them. And his reputation as an invincible soldier grew day by day in the comments of the enemy. "Llop Ibn Muhammad I", a Muslim gentleman of Lleida, felt threatened by the campaigns of Guifré and Carles, so he decided to wall off and protect the city of Lleida. This decision did not please Guifré, who was offended. So he decided to organize the attack on Lleida to expand the " Catalán " territory, in the battle of "Navès". In this battle he was hurt – a deep wound sentenced him to death. "Carles el Calb" put his four fingers (index, middle, ring and little finger) into Guifré’s wound, and with the red blood, painted the four bars of the Catalán flag above the shield.
After his death, and honoring the Catalán hero legend, soldiers painted on their shields the four bars, thus identifying themselves with this flag.
At present La “Senyera” is shared with Valencia, the Balearic Islands and Aragon. Often we see it horizontally, although its origin is clearly vertical.

Panda, the house of Barcelona had similar emblema, but they were not exactly that one. Anyway, that story is just a legend, as most pre-1000s uncertain stories, there are other legends about that. That INE was popularised by Catalan writers in the 19th Century if I'm not wrong, during the Renaixença.

But anyway, I don't mind who invented it... As long as you don't say that it was not an "Aragon Crown", but a " Catalan-Aragonese Crown". Believe me, I have heard it many times, it is just blindness carried out to the extreme.

Pablo there is a great debate about the origine of La Senyera, and it is a highly politized debate (biased by both pro catalan and pro aragonese/spanish parties).

The origin of this flag is perhaps even not "Iberian" (I mean by Iberian territories south of the Pyrenees), as some suggested it came from the not so far great medieval city of Carcassonne (Carcasona in Spanish: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carcasona), one thing we could agree: the origin is actually quite unknown only speculations, but one thing is sure, it originates from somewhere near and across the Pyrenees (the Pyrenean Almogavars also used this flag once), hence we can say Andorra chose well his flag and emblem, since it is the only existing (for now ;) ) Independent Pyrenean state.
