It's hard to compare picks when you only get two. But there were two distinct styles of picking. Croivan spread out in two 3 value bonuses and Moto went for the quick multi.

Cro won though so you'd have to say he played and picked better. Especially on turn 5. That's were Moto threw the game.

moto thought it was going to be a 2v2 and picked the best option: the ftb.

however, it ended up as 1v1, and so crovian's spread out picks worked better.

sticking to +3 bonuses is never a good thing

I picked those 2 bonuses because they wanted a 1v1

Usually i pick 2 bonuses worth +3 and one worth +4

Motocross, you showed your poor play by your stupid move into brazil, wtf were you trying to do, stick to taking australia and bordering central america instead of going for both at the same time. If you look at Moto + teammate picks vs Cro + possible teammate picks Cro picked better, since Moto had no presence in russia/scan.

However Croavian is and absolute bastard for not surrendering, since usually you know your teammate wont turn up to the next game and a 2vs1 you will just surrender. They were kind to him and he took away their chances of playing.

anyone who does this no doubt should be blacklisted.

I would pick the FTB in a 2v2 like Moto did for sure. But his 3-4 picks should be reversed. Finland has position on WR.

Moto's picks are still better even in a 1v1 (since you are only getting two here. Spreading out like that should lose to Moto because he'd have the FTB and should break CA with momentum.

Like hedja said, taking Brazil was dumb. If those went into Columbia instead (or Aus) he would have broken CA very shortly. So what if he didn't have Scan/Russia presence? He would have had AA/Aus/SA (assuming Cro had to block Baja when broken) and at best Cro would have had Scan/WR at that point. Moto had WA to take easily (no WL left from teammate pick). Cro did not have GL or CR available. Moto should have won this game easily.

Hedja, I wanted to play 2v1, but since Moto was so confident that he would win, CheekyChincken surrendered and I won.
The best part is that my teammate joined in the next round xD

I probably just wasn't playing good that day.
