Hello, I am beginning to create Warlight maps and have created a 16 player lottery map. If you would like to help with testing, please comment below.

map: https://www.warlight.net/SinglePlayer?PreviewMap=50046

please note that I can only invite 7 players.
the map is designed to be a race to the centre.

don't think you'll need testers for the map.

presume this is a joke thread? how can you need testers for a lottery map, as long as one terretory is worth 1000000000000000 and the rest 1 it dont matter what the map looks like

To take a more professional stance:

You shouldn't need to test this. As long as one territory is OP and the rest are crap, and they all touch, it should go through.

Also, a more personal note: Why why why why did you think it was a good idea to make ANOTHER lottery map. We have like a zillion.

actually whether or not this is a proper lotto map depends, sure it doesn't require skill but it is more of a ffa map similar to that bracket map where you always only have 2 options and there is no diversity in the games. Whats hillarious is that you still messed up connections even though its a small map

While I'm gonna stay as far away as possible from the rest of the topic; C1 to C4 looks fine to me, I'm not seeing the issue.

A true lottery map is different from a king-of-the-hill type map. This map seems more like the latter. If you want to make it as 'lottery-ish' as possible, then I would say that the asymmetrical distributions (6, 10, 12, etc.) are not as 'fair' as a lottery should be, since some people will start without any neighbours competing for the next neutral. This gives those players an advantage. That's fine if the distribution is random, but if it's manual then there's some advantage to starting in those positions.

In principle, you could create a very similar map with the ability to start in symmetrical positions for those numbers of players, but you just need to make sure your outer ring has the right number of territories which are multiples of 2, 3, and 5.

So, you could have 30 outer territories, cutting down to a 6 ring by having groups of 5 outer territories fighting over a single territory in the next inner ring. Then cut that down to 2 by having groups of 3 fighting over 1 territory in the 'finals' ring, and then the last two survivors fighting over the last central 'winner' territory.

If you give up on multiples of 5, you'll have a better time of it, so you could have 24 or 36 outer territories. Then you could have distributions (from 36) for 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, or 36 players, all being symmetrical.

fair point, but its random whether you get the advantage or not, so its fair play in my books
