This could be another epic victory. Our team did great whole game, we struggle hard, done our best... And there the boot came... I was constantly refreshing and making my moves the fastest I could. In 5.01 minute I was booted by Conway Twitty.

I'm sure we would have won this one. What do You think?

What is more I remember my moves and I would destroy violet in Malopolska and blue in lubelskie/podlasie. Also I would get north, west in Wielkopolskie and go down in Lodzkie.

Just put the guy on your blacklist and don't play him again.

Matma Rex, Please read my post. I couldn't make my move faster, it was obvious for everyone, who played this game. Convay Twitty booted me while it became obvious that he lost.

I always wait min. 10 minutes before boot,no matter what.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. Do not play 5 minutes if you are slow. Do not play it if you are fast, but the map is huge. It's best not to play it at all.

I never, ever play games with boot time less than 10 minutes. I rarely even play real-time. And I'm a happy man.

I don't think it is wise to play a 5 minute boot with a large map.

Even the 1v1 auto game map is tough if the match is even and gets beyond 20 turns. And I'm very familiar with the map.

No matter how **YOU** play, always assume your opponent is going to boot you at 5 minutes and 1 second. If you can't accept that, don't play.

If You dont play 5 minute games, you don't know what it's like. Most players wait. If somebody boots just after boot-time he becomes blacklisted by everyone and that is what You all, who read this topic should do right now.

Actually I have nothing against him, never met the guy. But he seems to play by the same rules as me.

It is a very very very bad idea to play 5-minute games on the big Poland map. If you get booted doing it, you have no reason at all to complain. Just sayin'.

I blacklisted him. That was a lame boot, although it isn't obvious to me that you were going to win the game.

I don't see the poland big map being that bad for a 5 minute boot.. it has to be considered as though it has less territs due to how the map is designed, imho.

and i played deep into a 4v4 on E.asia before i knew any of the tricks i know now to take my turn faster, with 350+ income on 4 borders, and still managed to take my turn in under 4 minutes..

Yes, I did boot in this case. I joined a 5 minute game, because I wanted a quick game. You took about 7 mins every turn. I'd also made it clear that I wanted to end the game when someone disappeared for 15 minutes mid-way through for God-knows whatever reason.

I gave a warning saying "next time I boot at 5 minutes". HunterPL also gave you a warning earlier on in the game. You were also requested to play faster two other times in the game.

I hardly ever use the boot option. The game was about equal when I booted. I was simply tired of waiting for you.

Twitty did have a faster move rate. Sadly I can't see how long Quadafi's other moves were.

I agree with the 10 min boot, though.

General blacklisting for booting is silly (if y'all want to do it, blacklist nearly everyone on WL). But if the game hosts are that determined to enforce the boot deadline use AUTOBOOT. No arguments, no pissing matches in the forum, no angry chat feuds. Just set it and forget it.

BTW -- I don't suggest setting it for 5 minutes on a big map if your goal is to have a nice game. If your goal is make the clock the challenge, then fine. I play speed chess and recognize I'll be advancing pawns sometimes because I don't have time to think through a turn and not lose on time. It's just a different game.
