That said, I also think you should take your time to accept these things, which are very hard if you are imprisoned by your male egos. This alone is solid enough to prove how selfish you all are. You want power in your hands, just to misuse it. But... What's the point of misusing it? In the long run it will backfire!

I simply have realised some things many people don't want to accept, and I am pointing them out because exactly those people have a little tension to get on my nerves. Dear Myhandisonfire, my attempt to befriend you was not out of the blue. None of my games were moving at that time. You seemed to be an interesting personality, though now you prove I was wrong. As for the correct spelling of "realise", I will have to remind you all what history says. The "nation" inhabiting the USA derives from Europe. Therefore since the European spelling is with an S, this is the correct version. Historically. Nobody knows why later the USA inhabitants decided to change it to z...

That's the second one, it goes into some detail as to the origins of realize and points out that the British spelling using the Z pre-dates the British spelling using the S.

The first link is to the OXFORD dictionary, you should notice not the Webster dictionary the Oxford. The Oxford dictionary is an British one.

So once more if you'd bothered to read the reply, you wouldn't need to highlight your ignorance. You could have avoided saying this:

You would have read that there is a long history of British use of realize with a Z. It is not an Americanisation.

Firstly, they didn't

And secondly many many people know why the 'USA inhabitants' changed the spelling of many British words to the American spellings they now use. It was because Mr Miriam Webster wanted to help foster an American identity to go with the new nation of America newly free from colonial rule. It was a two-fold aim as he also wanted to simplify the language and make it more accessible to all. by simplifying things like spelling he made it easier for more people to learn to read and write.

Learning to read ... you should try it.
