So I'm just wondering how many games everyone here plays at a time. I personally can only play up 2 games at a time, one large and one small. My ability to make good decisions drops dramatically when I start to play 3 games. Mostly because I become nervous of running out of time, so I make stupid moves or forget what I was doing at that specific game

How about you guys? And why?

I am normally in 15-25 Multi-day games, and when i play rt, i play 1-3 at a time, depending on the mapsize and how much time i have IRL, *presuming 5 minute games* unless i am playing against someone i really have to concentrate on...


I find that if i try to overthink a game, i often end up double-checking myself, and changing my orders around in a way that turns out to be less effective then what my original idea's were *although i do sometimes miss obvious things sometimes which irks me*

generally i take longer, in multi-day games, when i feel i need to concentrate on the game being played... for instance, there is a 5v5 NY map with tons of cards i am playing *tourney* and i spent 3 days each turn talking and strategizing about what to do, to make sure my team is at the most optimal if possible..

Same here with multi-day games. Not counting the ladder games, I play about 15 multi-day games. I sometimes do add in a 3rd game when just playing with friends who don't care about the time.

i just noticed this thread was pruely about RT games, lol.

I normally try to stick it below 3 games most times, unless they are getting boring for me, because my 8 boots are almost entirely caused by trying to do more RT games then i can adequately handle..

People who make me wait because they're too busy playing multiple realtime games are the people I boot right at the timer.

If everyone just plays one RT game at a time they'll go way faster and you won't need to play more than one. You won't be able to. Seriously, on the Earth map I usually make my moves inside 60 seconds and certainly under two.

But, in answer to the question, I've been able to maintain two rt games at once (and would still be waiting on the other players).

most the times when i start up a second RT game, is when i am waiting 3-4 minutes on people in my first one :/

I know right. The only reason I play more than one is because some people take FOREVER to move. It's so boring just sit there staring at the screen waiting for that slow guy to finsh.
