I dont post these sort of topics often but when I do its because I see a problem that I know you people see too. We seriously need to stop holding the color of somebody's skin against them or their personal beliefs.

People don't get to go skin shopping before they are born in the world. They don't get to pick out a nice set of parents to raise them. We should judge people by the choices they make not by their heritage.

I posted this yesterday but it got deleted in record time.

Fox news is not a good title. I only called the thread like that because it is pessimistic. Also, good job on explaining it better. Usa and japan also got deleted but for different reasons. I "bumped" it only to make my threads more popular. I will come up with a forum game one day like "guess" the object or place, enigmas or a rpg. :(

I think school should be more regulated and have less power over rules. I have heard stories of school teachers refusing access to class to some students without any valid reason.

Refusing access to class? That's utterly ridiculous. That a lazy teacher there. They don't want more papers to grade.

Already some blog posts that the whole american education is technophobe. Next thing is to ban computers because they catch fire and ban phones.

Just that there's a lot of things that are odd about it. I hate conspiracies, but the fact that there was no evactuation, he was arrested and interrogated, then suddenly the President wants to meet him... Lots of other facts that just don't seem to add up as well.

I dunno, just feels like somethings going on behind the scenes somewhere, either that or it's just plain old racism, scaremongering, bandwagoning and idolism.

This is happening in America though, so either one is just as likely. Or both...

That's an interesting point. However, what exactly SHOULD they have done? This post and the comments under it on the site seem full of people blatantly ignoring the fact that this could of been much worse.

We should be grateful that this school didn't go through the usual DEFCON 1 procedure or this poor kid would of been put through even more BS.

I don't buy the conspiracy theories. I think it was a prejudiced, stupid teacher a police officer who had to awkwardly do his job.

Obviously there should always be an evacuation if you think there's a bomb in the school....not that it it looked like a bomb at all, I know it wasn't exactly a Rolex but he's 14 and that is impressive. It was the teachers job to evacuate the school, logically that should be done instantly before you even start to cal the police.

This was a teacher who saw one of her best students bring in a home made clock and decided that he must be a jihadist, so she obviously wasn't intelligent.

I think the sheriff showed up and was confused by the whole thing and decided not to make it worse by calling in the SWAT team. I don't he believed it was a bomb but was compelled to do something, which is why the kid wasn't questioned for long.

Obama and Zuckerburg stepped in because they like good PR (who doesn't?) and, in Obama's case, because the incident had the potential to get out of hand if there wasn't an immediate recognition from someone important that the whole thing was a terrible mistake and that the kid should be getting rewarded for his work, not arrested.

EDIT: Give the poor kid his clock back and un-suspend him, fucksake.
