I think the best thing would be a basic-guide, either in the form of expanded single-player tutorial Fizzer said is on the roadmap somewhere, or written like the few we have. Problem is, there is no tutorial nowadays, nor will be introduced in the nearest future (I think), and there is no guide focused on the basics yet. Not sure if Wiki help much.

Even when you try to teach something by playing with newbies, you are never sure how much they already know, if they understand you, if you are telling them what they don't know yet, if you are telling them everything you should say, if you did not forgot about something, if you tell it in correct order, etc...

The same applies for games with clanmates, especially noob clanmates, I don't see how noob-clan is better than noob-guide.

I still remember dozens threads about someone not knowing how certain cards works after 1000 games, or multi attack being cheating, transfer-only / attack-only being bugs, people even don't know there is a forum actually (took me more than 1 year I think) and many, many other things players should be told to when they started playing.

In conclusion, make a written thorough noob-guide, next time you meet a newbie you say, "hey, read this: link-to-guide" and done.

i did a post on this topic,on our clan forum.the trouble is that some higher ranking/mature players,sometimes dont want to "give away" game secrets.it really needs someone to truly wants to help newbies,as we have all been there.what i cannot understand,is that when these "newbies" become better players,it makes the game more interesting.i really think that there is a 2-tier system here,where some players want others not to learn the mechanics of the game,so they can be used as cannon fodder.

There needs to be an easy way for new players to learn game mechanics and strategies. There are some good written guides that have been created, but they are not easy to find for new players.

Also, I think it would be better and more eidely used if it were interactive, rather than just a written document.
