Well not really.. This collapse can be very extreme.. This can lead to shortages of food welfare medical suplies etc. Most americans can't afford a 500 dollar reparir bill if had to... So if a collapse happen they can't even buy groceries.. So if you consider that to be worth of a republic? Then I guess it is good..

Most Americans could afford a 500 repair bill. It's difficult, but my parents are way below (American) poverty level and we still get by fine. We even own r own home - while living in welfare.

But would your family survive? If the Welfare is gone? Which will be the case if an economic collapse happens? Thats how familys will be wiped out.. Familys depend on welfare for support and if this supprt is gone the family will be gone.. Half of America could be gone!! This is extreme.. But it could happen.

How about if the welfare is restricted? Would your family survive? With Growing inflation as the US dollar value decreases due to the federal reserve? Would your family be able to survive>

I'd rather have not a dollar to my name and be able to have a choice in my government than have a million and be a complacent servant.

America has already defaulted on its debt before. It was our revolutionary war debt to france. Other than that we have a pretty good credit score compared to other countries.

Also, don't assume that just because this kid is young that his ideas are meaningless. Thats the problem in our schools. We need to let our children think up these fears so that we can have a decent debate.

Eventually we will default. It is only a matter of time.

13-18 is classified as a young adult or teenager.

tbh, It's not about how old you are.. It's about how wise and mature you are.

anyway, the interesting part about this si that the us total public debt is around 6 times its income, while it still has a AAA rating from the rating agencies.
Whiel european countries in trouble usually have a debt between 2 and 3 times their income and have crapy ratings, you know why? because evryone knows that if they amke it clear that western economies are bankrupt they will become so, while no one udnerstands it its fine

Because I can't take someone who says that half of America would "be gone" if welfare disappeared seriously. It's an idiotic statement.

Also, frankly,you saying that doesn't in any way make my argument less valuable. And this IS NOT a debate. No one has actually put forth any reliable evidence for either side, just pure speculation.

I don't think there's a single nation that could successfully invade America through it's coasts. So China biting land off the US is in doubt. Although I doubt a US invasion of China could happen either. So they'll just chuck nukes at each other.

Nobody ever believes me, but I'm all telling you. Kyrgyzstan has the capabilities to end the world at the push of a button, and could destroy America in 38 minutes, if they tried. Stop underestimating them as just "that weird 'stan' country in the middle of Asia that nobody really cares about".
