Can you hold gold? Or must you spend it in the same turn where you earned it?
-Yes, you can hold gold for any number of turns. There are at least three downsides to doing so: 1) as in any games, unspent potential is costly. 2) the more troops you purchase in a turn, the more they each cost. 3) unspent gold could instead be used on cities to generate more gold
