just like the real lord of the rings map and even more that isnt in the movie. i can see you did research and if you barely tried i congradulate you XD. p.s. I LOVE THIS MAP FOR MULTIPLAYER WITH 4 PEOPLE. i also think you should make smaller scales of it in certain places. CONTINUE TO MAKE GREAT MAPS!

this map is really interesting. reminds me of the good ol lord of the rings map, very well done based on strategic importance of land, and symbolic meanings.

I absolutely love the Middle-Earth concept, but this map is a bit complex for my taste. Just a bit, though!

Very good and territory names seem accurate and certainly add to the game

Only played on a team game, which can make bonuses hard to get.

Very enjoyable map. Will definitely be one of my favorites.

Solid map. Can't say I love it, it's not exactly easy on the eyes, there's some questionable balance with the choke points heavily favoring some areas and some super bonuses being all but irrelevant since you cannot achieve them until you've basically already won, but it does play pretty well in team games. The city-within-territory bit is a nice touch for keeping those little hold outs. Do wish there was a little more focus on the cities of importance.

A lovely, well-balanced map. Awesome to play for 2v2, 3v3, 2v2v2, 2v2v2v2 and 3v3v3. A map with several points of huge strategic value, which leads to intense battles and a heart-rate you won't survive long with. I suggest using full city distribution in your templates. It's the map I've played the most and likely the map I will play the most.

This may be my favorite map of Middle Earth. You have done a great job incorporating many of the important (but unvisited) locations as one-off bonuses. You also lay out chokepoints in a very strategic manner, but most of the board is open for back-and-forth battles. This makes it crucial to secure what defensible bonuses one can and to concentrate on slowly building one's forces. Caution, rather than boldness, wins the day in this incarnation of Middle Earth.

Very fun to use for "chase" games.
Review by Commander9786 on 6/25/2015.
This map had me on the edge of my seat!!! However, the APT reward for Rhovanian is a bit too steep (in my opinion). capturing it provided an early-game advantage that made the win easy.
Review by Petty Officer Peepers on 9/19/2015.
Had an enjoyable game. The territory layouts were interesting and provided a lot of options for strategy. Detailed enough for the casual Tolkien fan but not so much so that a player with limited knowledge of the realm wouldn't be overwhelmed by the new territories. One of my favorite maps.

Enjoyable and challenging map. It is recommended to pick territories manually, as starting position is very important and bonuses differ in their value much. Which is not flaw, Middle Earth rewards smart development, instead of over aggresive behaviour. I would recommend playing here for beginners also, because map itself is helpful in understanding principles of play.

Saruman has created the best Warlight map of Middle-Earth in the game, with the geography being as close to perfect as a map of Middle-Earth can get. The bonuses work well. Well done, Saruman!

played as the hobbits. there is no way to get any traction at all. way too many surrounding troops, and not near enough troops generated. it takes 10 turns just to be able to take one territory, which doesn't provide any more troops, and then you are completely vunerable.
also the allience system is completley opaque. it is very difficult to determine who anyone is, and what there role should be.
