|A truel is a duel between three persons. In this case a ninja, a pirate and a knight!
I don't recommend to play this map with over 8 players, then it gets really cramped.

This map displays an impressive array of influences from around the world, drawing its triad of historical icons through both space and time. Though slightly superfluous artistically, the fantastical match-up of the scimitar against the ninjato and the broadsword is long overdue and may reveal clues as to why piracy is so effective in the present day.
In terms of play, each territory is connected to every other territory, providing players with an atypical insight into the actions of his opponent. The easy access to each territory also allows for sudden, drastic changes in the momentum of the battle, with a single mistake often leading to certain defeat. Though not the most appropriate map for a large number of players, those reliant on coin flips to determine their strategy will find themselves challenged by the extraordinary increase in the number of options available.
Truly the only drawback to this masterpiece is the lack of an appropriately balanced distribution. Without it, all seems left to chance.

Hey, just because I make the map doesn't mean you HAVE to play it and can give smart-ass comments about distributions. I once had one in mind, a very complicated one and it took me three hours to make. Then, out of a sudden, a lightning strike pierced my laptop and I only just had the time to upload the map without the distribution mode before the motherboard caught on fire and the battery exploded, leaving me with terrible burn marks that will last my whole life. I'm typing this with my last strength from a hospital bed and all I have yet to say before my fingers cramp from the extreme stress is: "I can type nonsense just as good as you" :)

Much better than Duel. Now there is an insanely high amount of strategy considering that there are only 3 territories.

This map is elegant in it's simplicity. In a way it is a bit like Russian roulette. There is a lot of luck in involved and choosing the wrong enemy to attack can result in sudden death.

Should have bonus links on this.
Edit (response to Moros' response): what about the negative bonuses for owning 2 characters? Just my thoughts, not criticism. :)
Response by map creator Moros on 3/27/2012
On a map like this, I think bonus links are not necessary. The bonus lay-out is very simple: you get 5 extra armies for holding at least one character.
Edit: Those are simply to make yo not get any extra armies when you have occupied one extra character. Otherwise anyone who gets a second character first wins.
