42 territories, 13 bonuses, 2 distribution modes

Description

After the conquest of the peninsula, the muslims suffered a counterattack of asturian rebellions. The revolt had begun.
A few years Christian armies from France, also known as crusaders, helped the revolt in their fight against the muslim from the south.
Which side will you fight for? The mighty Crusades or the fearsome Muslims?

There are three distribuction modes on this map:

- 1 vs 1 (recomended) - each player starts with one territory.

- 1 vs 1 / 2 vs 2 - Team mode - chose either 4 south territories or the other 4 from the North.

- Full distribution (default)

Great 1v1 play, although the christian side seems to have a slight advantage

A good small map
A historical context already makes this little map attractive. The amount of territories is perfect for such kind of maps: it allows to create interesting 2-player (or even 3-player) games on it. The coastline and the borders of states look accurate so I will mark it with 5 stars.

Can't give an unbeatable map more than 1 star. In one player mode on the chain, this map can't be beat. Hard to overcome the odds when you are at a 4-1 disadvantage right from the start. I've tried this map at least 15 times now with a different strategy every time, no possible way to win. Maybe with some priority cards mixed in there might be a chance. With the 4-1 disadvantage and only getting to make the first move about one in ten times, there's just no effin way.

Good map, but the south have a massive advantage. The player that starts in Algeciras is almost certain to win.

The map is nice, but the scenario for 2 players is completely unbalanced: starting in the South it was an easy win, while starting in the North it was impossible to withstand the enemy.
I've not tried the other distribution modes, but since you recomend the 1vs1 I assume the map was intended to be played that way.

tough nut to crack. keep at it and try different approaches and note the territory distribution and armies credited for said territories. Frustrating at first but ultimately fulfilling. Thnx!
