Description

Hello, Warzone Community, this map is a combination of concepts and styles of my past maps, focusing on Late-Modern European country borders, naval-port & city gameplay, the major features are:

- Physical Geography Barriers (River/Strait Crossing & Impassable Mountains)
- Seazone give quick movements, each connect to 5 Ports(anchor icon)
- 30 scattered Special cities & 8 City Collection Bonuses
- Country & Region Unification Bonuses

- 2/24 Update: Added some historic tags for 1812, 1848, 1914, 1939, 1960s, also, the ocean is now blue.
- 5/24 Update: Map changes in Balkans, Danish Islands, Dniester river, French Alps, Gulf of Trieste, Rhineland and Southern Norway.
- 10/18 Update: Map changes in Baltic States, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, France, Germany, Slovakia, Turkey, UK and more. Added more historic tags and ship icons for seazones.

This map is a new and refreshing innovative take on a map of Europe. I very much like the way in which rivers and mountains are represented on the map. Also the system of the seas and ports are very neetly balanced, unlike other maps. The only critiscisim of the map i have, is that, it perhaps is not that good for some custom game scenarios like WWII or some other timeline. I would like if hte creator made a more detalied map that could span for more Roleplays while also retaining its strategical sides.

Thank you for the review, the 5 to 1 ratio of ports and seas made the seas powerful but exposed. Just 10 moves between Lisbon to St.Petersburg is crazy fast, but it could be stopped by more than 50 spots along the way. Yes, I feel that including flags in the middle of the map really limit the scenarios to modern only.

edit: Perhaps making another map is too much work, so I'll just update this map with flags moved to the left side and some historical bonuses/borders addition.

This overtook North America Regions as my favorite diplomacy map as soon as I played it. Nice cities, sea tiles work very well, and the map overall is very aesthetically pleasing. If there's one thing I could change it would be its size. I think the map would be better expanded to include the caucuses, the northern middle east, Scandinavia, and northern Libya/Egypt. (For example, Issander's new europe map's boundaries are really good)
Other than that, it's a really good map and you can't go wrong with it.

The best representation of European Geopolitics I had ever seen, I mean even with "real world" maps. Great job!

I thought that Warzone has enough of present-day Europe maps. This map proved that I was wrong. It is great in all imaginable features.

Interesting concept. The city territories look nice and the mountains and rivers as barriers are interesting.
