Maybe, I randomly generated the tiles. I considered leaving it a full rectangle but thought that would be even more boring.

this map is highly consistant. all territories look the same (all hexagons &same size) and the bonus-fields give 1-5 armies, also equally spreaded.
games on this map can take a lot of turns and may be a little monotonous (what is a matter of taste).
with 'custom scenario' you can form a lot of strategical situations.

This map is great
So many place to expand, I lost my overview XD
I could not say of this map is balnced or not, it's just too big!
It's ideal for tactical gameplay, and there is no place to hide
