|Finnaly its here! The first ever map of the solar system on warlight. Including all the planets, the sun, asteroids, satellites and outer planets of near solar systems!
Updated on the 17/03/14 to fix some territory names
Review by SebCorps on 3/17/2012.
The map is very well done, with fast routes and slow routes to takes, no dead ends (with one minor exception), and interesting idea.
My only fault's with this is the broken stained-glass picture look. It would have looked nicer if the territories touched, and actually looked like something, especially on Earth.
Becuase of this, it is not clear right away that Saturn and its rings are not directly connected. You need to bypass through many of the moons first. While this is an interesting and clever idea, it is not obvious right away.
Nitpicking here, but, no Great Red Spot on Jupiter? How was that missed?
Overall, a very fun to play large map.

Not aware of a great red spot on Jupiter but i will look into it as Solar System 2 map is under production at the current time.

A great map ruined by the missing connections and gaps between territories that make it look like there was an earthquake.
Review by Andalorium on 3/17/2012.
like most have said it could look nicer, but over all fun map
Review by Krulle on 11/1/2013.
Very nice, thank You!
I missed a few links:
State 26 <-> State 29
State 14 <-> State 11
EMP testing zone North <-> No Go Zone West

Fixed them, cheers for informing me of them.

mercury and venus are overpowered...
Review by ShamelessGit on 6/6/2012.
The resource allocation is unbalanced and the map is shaped such that people in the middle are fucked, so everybody ends up squabbling on the edges because no one wants to be in the middle (partially because the resource allocation is unfair for Jupiter and such)

I find this a very nice map, because it's so big! I always tend to start on Planet X, and conquer the rest from there, without stumbling into enemies for ~5 turns, because they are on the other side of the map! I find the ChromospericFlares bonuses a bit low, but i assume there are reasons for that.
Overall, i think this is a great map and i definitely recommend this map to everyone interested!

This map is good for 1v5 cuz theres not a ton of space but if you get lucky you can just destroy people i just won today on a 1v2v3 me being the 1 hope people play this more
Review by Landalf on 9/2/2013.
good, but too fragmented.. very nice and many passages and bottle necks to choke an enemy.
Review by Hawke on 4/1/2012.
Very cool, the scale of the armies gets a bit huge though
I guess that's just a preference thing
Review by Leonheart on 7/2/2012.
Fun and interesting, but very long unless you have a large group of people to play.
Review by Jamor on 11/8/2012.
a ball to play
Review by Berserk on 3/12/2013.
It's not bad, lots of ways to get around but still some strategic choke points. Some of the bonuses don't really make sense. Why doesn't the saturn moons bonus include all of saturn's moons?
Response by map creator skunk940 on 7/1/2013
Some of Saturn's moons are located in other smaller bonuses. Eg: Titan zone. So they are not included in the over all Saturn's moons bonus. The idea of the 'moons' bonuses is to give some sort of award for owning all of a planet and the links to it.
Review by Nathan on 5/2/2014.
I am revising my rating of this map upward, to 5 stars. It's not the most visually attractive, but it does play extremely well. There are chokepoints but they are well-balanced by the existence of flanking routes. The bonuses are a bit imbalanced in some areas, but that can be explained in part by the smaller areas being worth more because they lack both regular and superbonuses.

It's very expansive because it includes a lot of areas. And the idea of a solar system map is cool. A bigger map of the solar system should be created.

Great map, very difficult to get a secure hold on bonuses though!!! success depends Largely on where you start.

It's a bit hard to work with, as you need to zoom in to see specific territories, but when zoomed in, you lose visibility on some of the outlying objects (especially Snow White).
Review by Kruel on 5/25/2012.
The first map of the solar system, it's a good size and looks interesting at first. However, once you actually play the map the you'll notice the none of the territories are flush, making for a disconnected look. The bonuses are also poorly balanced, with territories located in some a long way from the core group of territories in the bonus. The worst problem is many territory connections are missing. The map is playable, but it needs a lot of polish to be a great map. 2/5

Best map ever, would be better if the the planet territories are connected.
I'd be glad to help do that for you :)
Review by Lekko on 5/31/2012.
That was hands-down an excellent game for myself; however, I cannot say the same for my team mate. If you look back at the history, I was absolutely fantastic throughout the whole game; whereas my partner couldn't decide on one tactic or another. Starting in Saturn, then giving it up when things looked back, and changed to the asteroids, after taking away my sun bonus. Seems legit. Fortunately, I was already in a good enough position to secure the win, but she did not help in the slightest, and to be honest, I would've been better off on my own.
She should be banned, as usual.
Review by Orfadoos on 5/31/2012.
I was the brain, Lekki was the brawn. I think I let him down a bit. He should still get his internet taken away for bullying me into not getting the asteroids first, but defending saturn. At the end of the day, we won because I intimidated the brown gay into surrendering.
