I found it a little long, bonuses could certainly be smaller. only challenging thing about it I found is if you start to lose it gains momentum on you cause you can't divert the AI easily.

Pacman is facing the wrong direction.
The game takes awhile to really get going, as the bonuses have a lot of territories in them, so it takes awhile to start getting more than base income, and it takes even longer before any combat happens

An older map and linear paths make for some slow going. But the "choke points" do make for some challenges.
