It's a "cool" map. Hah heh uh... Sorry bad joke.
Interesting water connections.

"Icy" what you did there. Thanks for your input! I had to be creative to improve the flow of the map- allowing players "stuck" in a corner at least a few viable options for growth.

The "Stalingrad" on your map should actually be Leningrad. Other than that, a fine map.

I must have got my dictators wrong! I've changed it to the more sensible "St. Petersburg". Thanks for your input, glad you enjoy the map!

The ocean connections work well for this map.

Nice effort but feels like there are too many borders and connections for a smaller map; play is chaotic. Some people, however, may like that element. The ocean connections, in my opinion, might be necessary for balance but aren't very realistic--and when i played didn't help balance that much--the far north-northwest seemed over powered every time. Also, unless the lake is supposed to block it, there may be a connection missing in Finland between East Vaasa and Savo. If the lake is blocking then it might be good to redraw the boundaries.

While making the map, I had to choose- a few times- between striving for realism, or keeping the gameplay manageable. Full disclaimer: I don't live in Scandinavia, or Europe at all, and I'm not terribly well versed in the geography of the area, so my map is not 100% accurate to the area (I would estimate about 80% accuracy. Sorry to any players that live there and notice the inaccuracies). I do know that history shows that the area IS a chaotic place in times of war, and I personally like this aspect and I hope others do, too. All of my simulations showed a basic balance between spawns in all corners of the map, but Warlight, having elements of a game of chance, does allow for some randomness. Thank you very much for your input!

Edit: thanks for catching the missing East Vaasa/Savo connection. Fixing this momentarily!

Thank you for this map!

South Lithuania <-> South Belarus
South Russian Karelia <-> Northwestern Russia
East Vasaa <-> Vaso (has already been mentioned)

High bonus values make starting position especially important in this map. Also, from a solely aesthetic standpoint, I recommend not extending the map territories all the way to the edge of the screen. Leaving some room in your SVG file between the edge of the selection and the territories on the map makes it easier to view all of the gameboard.

Thanks for your input. I'm in the process of nerfing some of the bonus values for balance. I'll try to implement your ideas about aesthetics as well.

Nice map, but the bonus for entire countries is too high.

Decent enough, though the edges on some of the borders are jagged.

Cool map, I did notice though that East St Petersburg borders Southwest Stalingrad Oblast but can't attack it
