This is a well-made map. I started out in the middle and was able to sustain a position where I had the first or second largest number of new armies per turn throughout the entire game. This map has "chokeholds" built in to help the player in the middle survive, and these were critical to my game. The boats and other connections make it fairly easy to move around the map. All of these things combined with diplomacy give the player in the middle a chance to survive and come out on top. The bonuses are well balanced and make for a fun game, as well.
This was one of the hardest games I have played, yet one of the most fun. I look forward to playing another game on this map.

The map is visually appealing and very well done. I gave it 4 stars, however, because starting position is a huge factor here. Because of all the chokepoints, the middle of the map plays out almost in purely linear fashion, meaning those players who begin on the edges enjoy a hefty advantage. They can expand more quickly and can bottle up central players at just a few key defensive positions. I played this map three different times and the clear advantage is to those who start in the corners (except for the NW corner).

It is always hard to start in the center!? =)

Really great map with many different directions to take and gives the feeling of storming cities or the countryside depending on where you are charging. Certain team spawns however do seem to be disadvantaged as they are right next to opponent spawn locations while others are in peaceful and safe homes.
Overall though, despite just that one flaw, it was a really fun map to go through, thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel like conquering just a city. ^-^

An extremely enjoyable map. Choke points galore, interesting layouts, close quarters without feeling cluttered, this is a pretty exceptional map, particularly for teams of 3-4

Fun, mid-size map. A bunch of "which way should I go". Watch out for those dead ends.

This is a really nice map! North east Island probably the easiest corner but it's all about choke points. Well done, sir.
