I know me and Gnuffone both know a lot of players in the game and can give an accurate idea of their skill level, and I'm sure Frank could too.

Then let's assign them to groups based on how they have performed in previous tournaments, ladders and games. Don't be thick, it isn't in anybody's interest to have better players in lower groups, and vice versa. Everybody would rather play people of a similar quality.

No, there shouldn't be higher or lower groups at all, or at least not for the first tourney anyway. For the first tourney, all groups should be equal. Look at the football champions league, you dont see teams assigned to groups depending on the number of times they've won the cup, its all random.

But If there should be a decision about who gets into which group in the end, it should be a vote by all the players participating, not just by the 3 or 4 that jsa think is the best.

Pulsey, Gnuffone, myself, and Frank are three of the best players in the game, no doubt about it. We have proven ourselves numerous times. All of us know many players in the game and have organized events with lots of players before or at least helped with it.

And like X pointed out, you have no idea what you are talking about so just stay out of it.

I don't consider it arrogance when it is obvious I could have done it. Would I have if I decided to stall games on the 2v2 ladder? I would have easily. Would I have if I did not stall any games on the 2v2 ladder? There is a good chance of that. I was 5-0, would have beaten you and Z-Dog had I not quit the ladder and got booted. I also was in better position than dreuj and brisk after picks, I just lost concentration in the game. So I could have easily been 7-0 and had a 1900+ rating. So, is it arragonce when I am stating a fact that there is a good chance I would have taken the #1 spot? I think not.

Who am I underestimating? I can think of only one person in the last 3 months I have underestimated and he beat me in the game we played because of it :)

Did I jab my finger in? No, I told him what I would do. If he chooses to do a vote by everyone instead, that is completely fine by me and I would not have one problem with it. He was the one who stepped up to lead this league. If he decides to do it random, like you are telling him to, I won't argue with him about it, I just won't play in the league. I have already lost a lot of interest in warlight lately and am getting tired of playing players that I can beat 90%+ of the time. I would rather just play players that can beat me without having to get very lucky.

Yes, I'm arragont at times. But I don't think I am any more arragont that any other player on warlight that uses the forums a lot. If you can find me one very good, very modest player that uses the forums a lot, I'd be stunned.

I feel like arrogance is less of a problem than just being a jerk in general. It's amazing anybody would want to play on your team on warlight, no matter how good you are.

I agree with mr pink completely. I would prefer to play people of a similar skill and work upwards. The point of promo reg leagues is the good playes filter to the top and bad to the bottom, like the ladder for the most part. Why just go random? That is the reason you have to play games before being placed on the ladder and not just thrown in randomly.

But how to place people in groups if you can sort them by skills? Not all are Members, not all Members playing Ladder, and winration sucks, so there is no way to do it properly. I think the best choice in this case is create random groups and then split into promo-relegation league (1st place going to group A, 2nd -> B and so on).
