The settings for the games are good I think, but this season lasted too long and had too many games. I think with only 5 teams in a division, the teams could possibly add more tournaments or less depending on how many players they have, and it could be shorter and less games for everyone. I am starting to think about groups for teams, I will probably start asking about Group A's lineups today or tommorrow and then go to other divisions after that.

5 per division is too low IMO. Less competition and possibilities of shocks. I think 10 in a division is more reasonable.

Although the groupings seem logical (in terms of my opinions on the clans), shouldn't the groups be decided on this season, not on preconceptions we have? I feel clans like WL have earned their place in Division A; they won games fair and square. I think clans should have to work their way up to Division A, if they haven't already proved themselves on this stage.

If Relite join this season, I think they should be allowed into Division B, due to their evident skill (at the expense of VIW).

Arun, I did it mostly compared to last season. But when you look at the people last season, it seems much more obvious to do it this way. Relite is obviously deserving of Group A. [WG] had 4 people in it at that time, one of which was booted in over half of his games. CPU finished 2 points above [WG] but lost Ineffable to [WG] and did not gain many good players that I know of. [WL] was carried by Ironnova who won his 1v1 and 2v2 tournaments. He is no longer active, so that is their best player gone. 2 other members that participated for that clan are also now inactive.

Gnuffone, I'm not sure, hopefully within the next couple weeks, maybe even sooner. I think that the template works well enough. However since in the top group, each clan has at least 10 or so players I believe, I will make a game with the leaders of the clans and we might add a few more tournaments to give more players a shot to do whatever they want.

Gnuff, maybe so but can you prove this quantifiably? I think Clan League Season X placement should be based on Clan League Season X-1.

Saying this, this clan league will be totally different to the last two, so I don't object too strongly to the current placements.

Yeah I see your point and agree with it JSA. Set up a game with me whenever and I'll try to get the teams sorted as soon as possible.

Despite i believe for example WG and ReLite definitely belong to GroupA, i think if you make divisions this season, the ONLY acceptable way is by dividing according to results of last season. There should not be any bias or handicap based on your whim, even when most of people agree some clans seem better than others. If you divide this into groups, then it should be done like in promotion/relegaiton league. Group divisions should be decided only on standings from last seasons, and new participants should start from the bottom. and i also agree 5 is a bit to few. it should be somewhere between 7 and 10 clans for each group..

if people demand it, i would give a wildcard to ReLites into group B or A, but it's a slippery idea, because if they get a wildcard, then why don't the others..? The more subjective you will get and the more clans you will treat individually, the less arbitrary and serious this league will be. I do understand some clans had retirements in their teams, and some boots as well.. but for example WM had the same problem with at least one player, which cost us a few points. But we don't whine about it.

Again i don't agree with JSA. The clans have EARNED their position. You shouldn't judge what WILL happen (because that is basically what you do when you immediately diminish clans, who have lost a good player, and automatically promote those who acquired good players) You don't have the full information on how their old players improved, and on which players retired, and which joined a clan. You also have no information yet on which players will be representing which clan. Or maybe you are planning to determine the groups based on that ass well?? This is ridiculous - will you take {warlighters} into group B if they will play with WFV, Febo and polakillo, and to group C if they pull out a team of their worse players?

I agree with slotting clans based on last league, regardless of circumstances and leaving judgement out of it. You would open a can of worms.

Another possible issue is people in multi clans. That greatly effects where a clan should be ranked also. We have a few very good players in multiple clans. Suppose they don't play for WG. Suppose other clans have similar issues (Noobschool playing for Apex and not AHOL, etc). It needs to be based on past results
