there are countless games that have not ended where people may have made an illegal move to gain an edge. Do we wait for the 1st game where someone exploited the bug or do we just reset now?

I'm not opposed to a reset, just not sure it's necessary, doesn't seem that many games actually had turns taken before the fix.

Whoops, somehow missed that. Though, I seriously doubt Bort beats you whether he cheats or not, he's terrible :P

what if he does lose because of it? what if 1 single person loses because of bug exploiting? only a few hrs into the ladder a reset seems like the way to go.

If 1 person loses because of it, I'd happily vote for a reset, or a redo of that specific game.

There's also the scenario though of someone winning a game that doesn't involve cheating, and then losing the equivalent game after a reset.

Can swing both ways, which perhaps makes it better to only revert games where the winner cheated.

It's unlikely that even 20 games started yet when the change was made to fix the bug.

If you lose the equivalent game, you could just say you were going to lose the next game. A win taken away is nothing. If i was 10-0 id rather lose that and start over than start 0-1

In the 3 games that were finished before it was fixed both players noticed it and used split-orders except for Legacy vs Amerlafrance where Legacy followed the rules and won.


I don't think it's necessary to reset, but I wouldn't mind if it were done.

Maybe we could just vote a template like 2seasons ago if no split doesn't work. That season is already pretty much fucked up.

for me it's the opposite.
I don't see the point of play a seasonal ladder (that is supposed to be competitive) with a non-common template.
In fact i played the only 3 season that had a classic template:
season 8: 1v1 ME with randomize bonus
season 14: guiroma
season 15: sze poland.

Play a season with new template = who have more time to make practice with new template will win.
In fact every time a new season start with a weird/uncommon template, you can see a dozen of open games with new seasonal template.

The only thing that can't be practicised would be randomized bonuses so far. And i REALLY like that concept

agree with darkpie. Fizzer makes more interesting picks than the people.

Do you think when a new template is introduced people make 1000 practice games? Also a lot of the seasonal vets dont practice at all. They prefer to go in to the complete unknown and just wing it.

I think most of us enjoyed randomize bonus.
I think you don't need to practice it. make 0 sense. You just to be very good. Play more games will not help you to play better.

When LD is get introduce, i remember few players say they played more than 100 games in the early of season. That's is what is really bad. Who have more times to practice, will win!
Also, if you practice it, you will get bored soon when you have to play seasonal games.
In season 8 14 i didn't played any practice games, and just 2 in sze poland agaisnt krzychu. I stopped to play practice games in season 15 for 2 reason:
-is boring
-wasn't very useful

However, look at season 8 and 14. Most of players, were very happy about it.
