o.O
I swear i made a few small comments in succession yesterday.
@red: that game was a few months ago. I applied again like last week with Gnuoffone. Didn't he talk to you?
@jsa: yep, i recall you did beat me once, it was a map with 10 territories. So good job and looks like its 3-1 to me. As for me putting down WG players, its more like just you, really! Sort of like how you go on a stupid rant everytime Arun comments, I partly believe its because Arun is a better player than you, and you're probably going to go on another rant to tell us why he's not.
As for the starts, is 1,2,6 possible? How did you guys calculate this?
Nike, if you dont understand how you could get 1,2,6 then you shouldnt be able to understand any of the rest.
Say Player 1 chooses:
1: West Russia
2: Cemtral Russia
3: West China
4: Scandanavia
5: East Africa
6: Antartica
And player 2 chooses:
1: West China
2: Scandanavia
3: East Africa
(4,5,6 dont matter)
Then player 2 gets his number 1 pick first
i) Player 2 would get West China as it is his first pick.
ii) Player 1 gets West Russia as it is first pick, and P2 doesn´t have it.
iii) Player 1 gets first 2 pick, and that is Central Russia, as P2 doesnt have it yet.
iv) Player 2 gets second 2 pick, which is scandanavia, as P1 doeesnt have it.
v) Player 2 gets first 3 pick, which is East Africa, as P1 doesnt have it.+
vi) Player 1 gets second 3 pick, which is Antartica, because P2 already has West China, Scandanavia and East Africa.
I almost never play especially well real-time. I use RT as a place to try out stuff I dont have much faith in, and the focus is on chatting, interesting games and learning rather than winning. I also tend to play RT for 10hrs straight or as a warm up to my multiday games, so I'm not at my best anyway. In the ladder I always bring my A game, which is still inconsistant but I beat more than my fair share.
I wish more people realised this, I think it gives the impression that I am over-rated. =/
A lot of other top players do their best RT and some dont ever play anything else, it's a shame. Especially because one off games aren't as fun as 5 in a row. I think my playstyle relies too much on every turn being precise and well calculated. One bad turn and the whole house of cards comes down, so I will either have to start playing differently or never be an especially good RT player. I am slowly writting a play book that should make me able to cut out a lot of thinking.
Nah, when someone in the top 3 drops out it pretty much always means there will be a day in the next week where everyone stays the same or moves up. When me timi and zibik all dropped out within 1 week practically the whole ladder went blue.
