Good 1vs1 ratings and skill is actually not so hard to come by.
Personally I think 3vs3 games are much more challenging because in these cases you need to find a level between expanding and hampering the enemy, while in 1vs1 most of the good moves are already clear cut and it all boils down to understanding location and turnly income level of each other.

just something to add to this thread, my 10 yr old brother tried warlight and finished lvl 1-3 easily enough, he got bored though.

for the tournament i made it too small (16 players only), and the favorite (brisk) got taken out first round by kerosea (poor brisk brings out the best in people, check my favorite games to see how :P)
Once this tournament ends i'll make another 32 players one

I think I will have to disagree with x-apex here on the regard of this 14 (or 15) year old guy. He has the temper of a little child to go with it and IMO that automatically disqualifies him from being the best player.
