Bananashake, in all honesty, I expect to lose more than half of these challenges. My goal is not about winning as many as I can or proving myself to the community. My goal is to learn to adjust to different templates better. In this challenge, I'd much rather lose 10 series on various maps to great players than win 10 to mediocre players.

As I said above wih nauz and pushover, the prereqs are not final; simply a guide.

Mystery man, read rules 1 and 2b.

I don't believe you have to meet all the criteria Potato, I believe your top 10 qualifies you.

The first challenge has finished!

JSA vs Miyagi - Strategic Turkey (No Local Deployments)

Game 1: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6566866
JSA wins - Decided on pick luck

Game 2: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568546
Miyagi wins - Decided on pick luck

Game 3: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568608
Miyagi wins - Good predictions

Game 4: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568665
JSA wins - Better picks (Miyagi triples pick for fun)

Game 5: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568718
JSA wins - Better picks

Game 6: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6568749
JSA wins - Pick luck

JSA wins 4-2. Turkey plays very well for a fun 1v1 game. The main portion of skill in this template is predicting the other player. I do not recommend it for competitive play, because in this series, 50% of the games were decided on pick luck. I remember playing Miyagi on this around 3-4 months ago though, and he beat me in like all 5-6 games we played. So I think luck only plays a big factor if both players are good, but this template is relatively easy to learn so too often, games will be decided by luck.

Big thanks to Miyagi for the series; it was a great honor playing you, and I still consider you the Master of Turkey :)

I will play Potato, Pushover, Nauzhror, Bananashake, Gnuffone when we have a chance.

Also, I will post all of my future game links here as well for those of you who are interested in watching games.

Swimming Potato and I have played 3 games so far in our challenge: Guiroma!

Game 1: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6573424
Well played and picked on both sides imo. I win by slightly better picks and slightly better play.

Game 2: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6573530
Pick luck determines this game. Swimming Potato gets the lucky side of picks and holds on for the win.

Game 3: http://warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=6573588
Potato slightly outpicks me, but it is close enough after picks where I have a chance. The game ends on order luck when Potato's final attack comes after mine, but it should have never come down to luck because I should not have attacked there.

Fun games so far; Potato leads the series 2-1.

jsa never gets outplayed. Its always because of the weather, oh, and bad luck, oh and not focusing sometimes.

Nah potato, the 3rd game in the series was won for you by my mistake in my opinion. I mention order luck because it plays a part but like I said, it should have never came down to that. 2nd game is indisputably decided on picks though I think. If I had gotten the 5 pick instead, it is almost certain I would have won. I give credit where credit is due; I know I'm not the best. But when part of the game is decided by luck, I like to mention it. For instance, against miyagi, I say two of my wins are purely by pick luck and one of his wins is because of him outplaying me.

And pulsey, I'm afraid you're overrating me a bit, I make plenty of mistakes :p

I've decided to change up the challenge a bit. Playing the same settings against the same player 7 times in a row gets boring. So I have a few options for future challengers (except for longhouse since he already invited me to a game).

A) earth challenge: 3 strategic 1v1, 3 strategic 2v2 with alts, 2 season 7 games, 1 season 1 game, 1 season 2 game. 10 options. 7 total games. Throw out the 3 you don't want and we will play the others.

B) china challenge: 2 china 1v1, 3 china 2v2, 3 china 3v3. 8 options, throw out 1.

C) Europe challenge: 2 3v3 Europe weighted random, 2 3v3 Europe straight round, 2 guiropa, 2 szEuropa, 1 Europe 1v1. Throw out 2 games, 1 3v3 and 1 2v2.

D) imperium Romanum challenge: 2 1v1 guiroma, 2 1v1 masterroma, 3 2v2 guiroma, 2 3v3 Rome. Throw out 2 but at least one must be 1v1

E) 1v1 challenge: 1 strat 1v1, 1 Poland, 1 guiroma, 1 battle islands v, 1 turkey, 1 Greece, 1 phobia, 1 season 7, 1 east Asia & Oceania, 1 Europe. Throw 3 out.

F) 2v2 challenge: 2 guiroma, 2 Szechina, 2 szEuropa, 2 strat 2v2, 2 guiropa. Throw out 3 ( at least 1 Europe)

G) team game challenge: 1 2v2 guiroma, 1 2v2 szEuropa, 1 2v2 china, 1 2v2 guiropa, 1 2v2 strat 2v2, 1 Europe 3v3, 1 china 3v3, 1 Europe 2.0 3v3. Throw one out. Can also include a teammate on your team.

H) all around challenge: 1 1v1 strat 1v1, 1 battle islands v 1v1, turkey 1v1, guiroma 1v1, Greece 1v1, season 7 1v1, Poland 1v1.
1 2v2 guiroma, 1 2v2 china, 1 2v2 szEuropa, 1 2v2 guiropa, 1 2v2 strat 2v2, 1 3v3 Europe 0% sr, 1 3v3 Europe 0% weighted, 1 Europe 2.0, 1 china 3v3.
Pick 3 1v1's, 2 2v2's, and 2 3v3's. no map can include more than one game on it.

I give you these 8 choices as challenges. Maybe I will make more as I find more good templates. I will play other games ofc, but I would like the rest of the challenges to be on one of these 8 styles. 8 to pick from and a little but of wiggle room in each one to get rid of templates you hate.

Ignored :(

Also, this is another terrible idea considering you are trying to cut down your game count.

This and your (100) leagues.
