Well JSA, if the clans are angry, that's their loss. It doesn't matter too much, like the WL olympics, the countries were ranked just to make it easier. The rankings do not have to be perfect; indeed, it would be interesting to see how clans fare in a multi division environment.

Firstly, we should see which clans will actually take part. Some may not want to after all so it would be useless to rank them.

We also need to find out if [P] will still be in it now that we've separated. I am trying to figure out who wants to head that up

To rank them, you could do this:

1) Every clan ranks all the clans. The list from the clan must be posted by the leader, but can be a discussion within the clan or simply from the leader.

2) Total up points (#1 vote counts as 1 point, #2 vote as 2 points, etc.) and sort in ascending order...lowest to highest point totals. That is your overall ranking.

It would be strongly encouraged for them to be honest about their clan and not just rate themselves #1 for no reason (if you give yourself the edge in a tie that is one thing, but try to be realistic).

That sounds like a very good idea; it has my backing anyway.

If you aren't sure about how many clans there are, the Unofficial Clans Wiki gives an up to date list. It is what I used. Some clans are dead, just click the links if you aren't sure if one is dead or not.

Wouldn't it just be easier to just use rankings from the first clan league,like a starting point.

I don't think all the clans were in it.

Chris' option seems perfect to me; I don't see any problems with it at all apart from perhaps the leader making their clan look better. But if they do do that, then it will look bad on them and it will only be the one vote. It is still a good enough starting point.

Maybe we should just not rank your own clan then? Then there is no bias bump. So if we have 20 clans, each would have 19 numbers going into their total.

In my opinion this idea is nonsense...
Do you really know all the people in every clan?
Looking the clan list i can say that i don't know the majority of them, and so I wouldnt be able to judge them.
Plus why noob clans should have right of judging others? A couple of weeks ago a lot of noobs give their opinion upon wich is the best clan, and everybody told Elite clan was the best (it is not a bad clan but it cannot be compared to WM or apex imo) since their members have higher stats.
So if we really wanna rank clans only solution in my opinion is to choose 5 equal people and make them rank the clans.
Then the list can be presented to all clan leaders and if the 50%+1 of them will agree, it will be used to make the groups.

Maybe I shouldn't take part in this discussion, cause i haven't participated in the first league, probably will not compete in the second either, I am not a leader of any clan, and back when season #1 started, I haven't even been a member of any clan, but in my humble opinion... voting would take too much time, and even if you succeed this time, then what if new clans arrive for the next seasons? will you re-vote every season just to classify them all out of blue? Why wasting so much time and effort into sorting them all based mostly on whims, emotions and (hopefully) vestigial experience of some players who probably never even played with members of some of the clans they are going to judge - not even mentioning, playing one, two, or (...) members should not be considereda reliable way of estimating clan's level of proficiency.. even provided the whimsy voting would be analized and averaged (again - waste of time). Beauty lays in simplicity, or shall i say "less is more" - in this case less unnecessary efort, which obviously doesn't lead to anything useful.

As it is already the second season of the clan league - if any division is to be introduced, then taking results from the first season is the only proper way to go - and like in any other league, newcomers should start from the bottom of the "ladder".

I won't make clan names but some of them think their players strong and they are total noobs. And a lot of examples like those can be made. So once again democracy must prevail but only in the final votation, not in the creative part.

Well, as I said my personal opinion was to not vote at all. Just do the clan league and let that decide the rankings. Then you can split into divisions the next time around.

But people kept suggesting divisions and ranking first, so I provided a better way to rank them than a few people in here debating it.

I agree a lot of clans haven't played against each other, which creates a lot of room for error in votes.

I have not actually played with a WM player or elite player I don't think. Not sure I've played with any from apex outside JSA either. Most of my games are with REGL, Warlighters, rp, CPU, RSP and x people. Outside of that I wouldn't have anything to base my opinion on (I would turn to the rest of my clan for help)

yes I agree in just doing the clan league without divisions, as long as jsa will write entering rules for new clans that will want to join next clan league.
So that it will be posssible make divisions based from this league.

Chris, that would be a good idea if we had to rank the clans although as Trilussa said, many of the small clans have never played against a member of one of the best clans. If we were to rank them, I would pick 4 guys to help me...dunga (an apex member), Trilussa or Sze (a [WM] member), NoobSchool or Boston (an AHoL), and one other person, maybe HHH or Gui or somebody else not associated with clans. But I don't think the clans should be ranked for this clan league. Every clan should be given a fair chance.

I have not written out rules for new entries in the future yet, but I will have them written out before this clan league starts.

i think someone should but all the clans participating in a hat and draw out random divisions to start, then the top 2 or 3 from each can be promoted to A and the others are in B and C(for season 3). this was sorta already mentioned but this is really random, of course the person would have to post a video so that we know they didnt just make the divisions themselves.

That won't work Dragon. You could end up with the 4 best in the bottom division. Then only 2 could be promoted and it would take forever for all the good teams to filter back up.

Just do it without divisions this time.
