I personally believe Russia should be allowed to keep Crimea, as long as they make promises to protect the Tatars and Ukrainians. After all, they have a Russian majority.

I think Putin want to take all parts from countries were there is a majority of Russian people.
Democratically it is his right to take Crimea, because the people of Crimea wanted to be a part of Russia. I think the same will happen for eastern Ukraïne.
The same could happen with Georgia, Azerbijan, Armenia, Kazahstan.
He cannot take Estonia, Latvia, Finland because they belong to the European Union and Belarus is more pro Russian than pro Europe so I think they are allies.

It's a economical death sentence for the European Union to give Russia sanctions because the Russian gass is very important for the economy in Europe.

Honestly, Russia should give Ukraine some sort of fair compensation for Crimea.

But according to "Partition Treaty on the Status and Conditions of the Black Sea Fleet" Russia is allowed to maintain up to 25,000 troops, 24 artillery systems, 132 armored vehicles, and 22 military planes on the Crimean peninsula until 2017.

So how is it an invasion?
