Oh, I thought I was told I was on the Corp Blacklist by Ox, and I was defo told by a few others that I was, like tojam for example. I got some nasty messages from some other Corp members about my "talking shit" as well, people I didn't even know... Maybe I was taken off it, I guess it didn't last long either way. No way for me to check I guess, and I'm not really that fussed, I just thought it was funny at the time.

and I'm still waiting for Ox to prove that there is a better template maker than me in Corp...

better template maker than you? well easy: Kretoma, dukeofdank, vitriol/knyte and zephyrum. I am also not that bad but it's been a long time I did not made any templates anyway.

Some examples of good template from current games:

https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=11102549 (Napoleon and the fifth coalition, Zeph)
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=10824657 (1350, Rise of Ottomans and Muscovy, Zeph)
https://www.warlight.net/MultiPlayer?GameID=10214048 (Kingdoms and Castles, Knyte)

And I don't say that to belittle anyone, I think all template makers are great and a huge commodity to Warlight, and I always enjoy helping people to improve their templates, so I'm not about to start ripping holes in other people's templates in this thread just to prove a pointless point, if you really want to see who's best then play in some of my templates as well, and get a feel for what is "good" and then make your own judgement.

tbh and with all due respect, you are not a very good template maker Fleece, the few games I know you made, they were historically inaccurate, badly made in terms of settings (bad accuracies of cards for example, or incomes not reflecting actual powers of nations), and too succinct description and explanations (gosh compare it with Kretoma's work, making additional files and keeping it updated each turns).

But I can concede you are a pretty arrogant template maker at least, this is commonly accepted now I guess.

And if I had to make an advice, I would suggest to other template makers to not invite you since you are leaving games in turn 1 just because you noobishly realized you did not like it ruining an entire game, etc. Just for it you would deserve a place in our clanwide blacklist.

In my experience it just saves time, there's usually a pattern for bad behavior in hosts, and it's usually just a waste of time and effort to explain to people why there is a problem (I have tried in the past). So I just save myself and everyone a lot of time and just leave the game. If your template hinges on every single player not leaving a game then... well, perhaps your template isn't as good as you thought it was?

I generally make my templates focus on the enjoyment of the game itself, which means sometimes the historical accuracy is reduced. I can make historically accurate templates too, but you have to be careful with all this "extra" stuff you talk about that you're not just making something simple much more complicated than it needs to me. It's a game after all... I think this segregation is a good thing though, you can all stick to your way of doing things, and me and my friends will stick to our's...

Hosts ruin their own games through their blind stupidness long before I surrender, it just takes other people a long time for people to catch up and realise it, if they ever even do...

Fleece "I am a better template maker than any corp member"

TheDukeOfDank - incredibly historically accurate scenarios, super fun to play, always include a great cast, and are always different

Kretoma - Creates freaking HUGE and GREAT scenarios that toy with unique ideas like Army Cap and teams. Amazingly fun to play, and the casts are again, brilliant.

Zeph waco - I get wet over some of his templates, like Holy Roman Empire. They are so versatile, and his style is fantastic.

xXOmegaXx - Probably my favourite template maker in the clan. He is not afraid to experiment with new ideas, like EUIV simulators, internal country struggle, tax system, external documents, and so much more. I can't put how fun his templates are into words, he puts so much effort into them!

So Fleece, you really would have to do *A LOT* to prove you can make better templates than any of these 4 guys (and other fantastic guys who aren't at the top of my head), especially Omega. I doubt any can rival his devotion and effort into his scenarios.

EDIT: Also, a huge factor that influence diplos are the cast: not the template itself. Since Fleece, you anger so many people, how can you guarantee you have a good cast when so many dislike you?
