it makes perfect sense, jay. you just dont like admitting your faults, not that any of us do.
and hey, YOU DO claim to be a very good player all the time, and YOU DID say you could have reached #1 on the ladder if you just concentrated and tried your best, no?

Qi, thanks for the observations then, i don't agree with them but I know you might be completely right, we'll have to see how this season goes.

Pulsey, jay? I assume that's me. I am a very good player, that's not arrogance, it's the truth. It'd be arrogance if I was rude to people that weren't as good as me just cause they weren't as good as me. I have been that way in the past, but I have tried to stop doing it and I feel that I have succeeded. I could reach #1 on the ladder if I was very focused and dialed in. I just don't have the focus to do it every game though which is very saddening to me :( I will focus on like 12/15 games but there's always a couple that I end up playing realtime and am not focused on the game. But I won't claim to be the best. Because I'm not. Simple as that.

Unfortunately JSA (while I agree with your other points on Pulsey), this one claim you make does make you seem arrogant. I could also reach number 1 on the ladder, if I just won 15 games. While I have little doubt you could reach number 1, until you actually do it, the less educated player (someone who doesn't know you) will see you as arrogant. Pulsey has no reason to go on about it though.

I don't care if people don't think I can do it, I know I can, any great player who watches games can tell you I can, it's not arrogance, it's stating a fact. I don't make the claim that I could consistently hold it because I know I still have room for improvement on this game. I state that I can take it and stay within the top 10 after that if I am focused. I am 11th right now and I have not been focused at all on my ladder games. That is why I make that claim. Call me arrogant if you want, I don't consider it that. I don't think I'm better than anybody else in warlight just because I could beat most of them in games, I am currently playing a lot of the guys in gladiators in games because even though they aren't very good players, they are nice people and I enjoy playing them.

In my opinion that is arrogance. The opposite of arrogance, humbleness, would be not mentioning your skill level at all, perhaps if need be just saying that you think you could reach number 1. If the person (Pulsey here) still rejects that, than you can ask him to consult another top player who, if you are good, would agree.

Um I didn't mention my skill level, Pulsey brought it up. Defending myself does not equal arrogance imo. If someone attacks me, I will reply with honesty and defend myself. I was arrogant in the past, but I feel like I've bettered myself since then. I'm done talking, thanks for your opinion though :)

No problem JSA. I see your point of view and agree you are ten times humbler (a word? :P) now.

While i agree you could be #1 JSA, you have not proven it. If focus is your downfall, that is still a weakness. Randy Moss could have been the best WR ever, but he did not have the dedication of Jerry Rice. The pointnis that potential is just that, unless realized. I am not bagging on you for not being focused all the time. I am not either, which is why i am not in the top 25 on ladder. It is ok not to have that dedication, but don't use it as a crutch. Either make the run, or don't mention it. That also means Pulsey needs to stop bringing it up too

What you have done Chris, is put my thoughts into words, where I couldn't :P I'm too tired to think of anything now.

Focus is my downfall, i can't argue with that. My goal is to get good enough where I can be top 5 without focus. Right now I am 11 without focus. I would almost say its an age thing and thats why I can't focus all the time, Don't quote me on that though because I truly have no idea, I just know I have problems doing it in 15 games in a row.

The game has its ups and downs, but you can never lose focus of your individual goals and you can't let yourself be beat because of lack of effort.

The ups and downs is what makes the game fun! The need to come back and win after a loss. If you won all the time it would get boring. As Qi has mentioned many times
